C9500 YELLOW OEM TONER CARTRIDGE

The OkiData C9500 Color Laser Printer is equipped with four toner cartridges. The lifespan of each of the installed toner cartridges is approx. 15,000 pages at 5% coverage. The printer will display one of the listed messages when an installed toner cartridge reaches the end of its useful life.

 

·       [XXX TONER LOW]

 

·       [INSTALL NEW TONER <> nnn: XXX TONER EMPTY]

In the initial step of the replacement procedure, you must switch the OkiData C9500 Color Laser Printer off, and then open the top cover. Please note that the installed toner cartridges are arranged in the following order (left – right): Yellow, Magenta, Cyan, and Black. After that, you must unlock the exhausted toner cartridge by pulling its release lever towards you, and then remove the cartridge from the printer. Now, you must close the top cover of the machine, and then unpack the new toner cartridge. Once the new toner cartridge is unpacked, you must shake it several times from side to side, and then remove the adhesive tape and the plastic protector from the new component. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must open the top cover of your OkiData C9500 Color Laser Printer, and then insert the new toner cartridge into the empty slot. After that, you must turn the release lever of the new toner cartridge towards the top cover, and then clean the LED lens (located on the inner side of the top cover). Finally, you must close the top cover, and then switch the OkiData C9500 Color Laser Printer on.

The lifespan of the fuser assembly unit is approx. 80,000 pages. You can check the total number of pages printed with the installed fuser assembly unit from the [Usage] menu. The installed fuser assembly unit should be replaced if any of the listed messages and print quality problems appears.

 

·       The message [CHANGE FUSER UNIT] is displayed

 

·       The fuser assembly unit is properly installed, but the message [CHECK FUSER UNIT] is constantly displayed on the control panel LCD.

 

·       The message [FUSER UNIT MISSING] is displayed – The OkiData C9500 Color Laser Printer does not detect the fuser assembly unit. The fuser assembly unit is probably missing. Therefore, you must ensure that the fuser assembly unit is installed, and then test the laser printer. Please replace the fuser assembly unit if the problem persists.

 

·       Repetitive image defects occur at intervals of 4,4488 inches – An indication for a damaged fuser roller. You should replace the installed fuser assembly unit with a new one.

In the initial step of the replacement procedure, you must switch the OkiData C9500 Color Laser Printer off, and then wait at least 20 minutes to allow the installed fuser assembly unit to cool down. After that, you must open the top cover, and then release the exhausted fuser assembly unit by turning the two locking levers towards the top cover. Now, you must pull the exhausted fuser assembly unit out of the OkiData C9500 Color Laser Printer, and then remove the shipping tape from the replacement component. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must align the new fuser assembly unit with the slot, and then insert it until it locks into place. Finally, you must close the top cover, and then switch the laser printer back on.
