BROTHER HL-5050LT OEM TONER CARTRIDGE

The Brother HL-5050 Laser Printer is equipped with four Light Emitting Diodes, which indicate the status of the installed consumables. Additionally, the Status Monitor app will display an appropriate message on the screen of the computer that is connected to the Brother laser printer when/if an abnormality occurs. Please note that some print quality problems cannot be detected (and resp. indicated) by the built-in monitoring system of your Brother HL-5050 Laser Printer. You should replace the installed toner cartridge when/if any of the listed LED indications, messages in the Status Monitor window, and print quality problems appears.

The green [Status] LED is on and the yellow [Toner] LED flashes; the message [Toner Low] is displayed in the Status Monitor window; – This is an indication for a low toner level. The installed toner cartridge will need replacing soon. Therefore, you should order a new toner cartridge for your Brother HL-5050 Laser Printer.

The red [Status] and the yellow [Toner] LEDs are lit; the message [Toner Empty] is displayed in the Status Monitor window; – The Brother HL-5050 Laser Printer cannot print or copy because the installed toner cartridge is empty. You should install a new toner cartridge to resume copying/printing.

You must press the release button that is located on the top side of the Brother HL-5050 Laser Printer, and then open the front cover by pulling its upper section gently towards you. Please do not touch the electrodes located on the inner sides of the laser printer. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must pull the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly out of the laser printer, and then detach the exhausted toner cartridge from the drum unit by pulling it towards you while pressing the release lever located on the right. After that, you must take the new toner cartridge out of the protective bag, and then shake it at least 10 times horizontally to spread the toner evenly inside. Now, you must detach the right end of the protective cover from the new toner cartridge, and then remove the cover by pulling it to the left. Once the protective cover is removed, you must align the tabs of the new toner cartridge with the grooves on the top side of the drum unit, and then push the cartridge down until it locks into place. Next, you must grasp the blue tab that is located on the top side of the drum unit, and then slide it several times along the cleaning channel to clean the primary corona wire. Please return the blue cleaning tab back to its original position before installing the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly into the laser printer. Finally, you must insert the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly into the Brother HL-5050 Laser Printer, and then close the front cover.
