BROTHER MFC-8820D OEM TONER CARTRIDGE

The Brother MFC-8820D Multifunction Printer features a precise built-in system, which is constantly monitoring all installed consumable printer components. As a consumable printer component, the installed toner cartridge is also monitored by the built-in system, and once the toner level drops below the normal working minimum, you will see the following warning message ''Toner Low'' appearing on the LCD of your multifunction printer. You should replace the installed toner cartridge, if the warning message has already appeared on the LCD, because the remaining toner will be consumed very soon. Please note that your printer will automatically switch to a non-operational mode, if you don't replace the nearly empty toner cartridge on time, and if this happens, you will see the following error message ''Toner Empty'' on the LCD and all printing operations will be suspended. Therefore, it is always better, if you keep a spare toner cartridge for your Brother MFC-8820D Multifunction Printer in stock, but please remember to store it in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations/instructions. 

Important: You should be aware that some printer components/internal parts will be extremely hot. Therefore, you must avoid touching any components that are not included/listed in the current replacement procedure.

In the initial step of the toner cartridge replacement in your Brother MFC-8820D Multifunction Printer, you have to gain access to the drum unit, where the toner cartridge is installed, by opening the front printer cover. After that, you must take the drum unit out of the printer by carefully pulling it towards you, and once it's out, you must remove the exhausted toner cartridge by pulling it towards you while pushing down the blue lock release lever on the right side of the drum unit. Please note that it's very important any contacts to the sensitive surface of the drum (on the top side of the drum unit/under the installed toner cartridge) and to the contact area of the new toner cartridge to be avoided. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must unpack the new toner cartridge, and then shake it eight-nine times horizontally, in order to be evenly distributed the toner inside the cartridge. Then, you must remove the protective cover from the contact area of the new toner cartridge by pulling off the right side of the cover first. Once the new toner cartridge is prepared, you must insert it into the drum unit until it clicks into place and the blue lock lever is automatically raised. Now, you must clean the primary corona wire of the drum unit by sliding the blue tab (located on the top side of the drum unit) along the cleaning channel several times. Please note that the routine cleaning of the primary corona wire is very important, in order to be maintained an optimal print quality. Finally, you must insert the drum unit along with the securely attached new toner cartridge into the printer, and then close the front cover.
