HP COLOR COPIER 170 HIGH YIELD BLACK OEM INK CARTRIDGE

Your HP Color Copier 170 is equipped with two ink cartridges: Black ink cartridge, and Tri-color ink cartridge. The precise built-in monitoring system of the color copier is constantly monitoring the status of the installed ink cartridges. The built-in system will display one or several of the listed below warning and error messages, if it detects an ink cartridge related abnormality.

‘’Additional cleaning will be ineffective ’’ – The indicated ink cartridge has been exhausted. You must install a new ink cartridge of the indicated color immediately after the appearance of the warning message on the front panel display.

‘’Black ink low <> Black ink out soon’’ – This warning message indicates that the installed Black ink cartridge is nearly empty. You should install a new Black ink cartridge soon after the initial appearance of this warning message, in order to be avoided print quality issues and a non-operational mode.

‘’Cartridge carriage blocked’’ – This error message indicates an incorrect ink cartridge installation. You must make sure that the ink cartridges are completely inserted into the corresponding slots of the carriage and that the latches/lock levers are closed. After that, you must restart and test your inkjet color copier.

‘’Remove and check Black cartridge. Verify Part Number: 51645A or 51645G.’’ – You must make sure that the Black ink cartridge is installed correctly. A new black ink cartridge must be installed, if the error message is still displayed after the reinstallation.

‘’Remove and check Color cartridge’’ – The built-in monitoring system is not detecting an installed Tri-color ink cartridge. Please make sure that the Tri-color ink cartridge is installed correctly. You must replace the Tri-color ink cartridge, if the problem persists.

‘’Remove and check Color cartridge. Verify Part Number: C1823A, C1823G, C1823D.’’ - You must make sure that the Tri-color ink cartridge is installed correctly. A new Tri-color ink cartridge must be installed, if the error message is still displayed afterwards.

You should always keep a spare set of ink cartridges for your HP Color Copier 170 in stock, but please remember to store these consumable components in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations. Please follow the instructions given below to install a new ink cartridge in your color inkjet copier.

In the initial step of the installation, you must open the ink-cartridge access door, and then locate the exhausted/emptied ink cartridge. Please note that the installed ink cartridges are arranged in the following order, from left to right: Tri-color ink cartridge (left slot), and Black ink cartridge (right slot). After that, you must raise the lock lever of the slot where the exhausted ink cartridge is installed, and then remove the exhausted ink cartridge by carefully pulling it towards you. Please avoid shaking the used ink cartridges. Now, you must unpack the new ink cartridge of the corresponding color, and then detach the blue tab and the protective tape from the nozzles of the new component. Please avoid touching the nozzles of the unpacked new ink cartridge. Once the new ink cartridge is prepared, you must insert it firmly into the corresponding slot (the cartridge label must be facing towards you) of the cartridge carriage, and then secure the new consumable component by pushing the lock lever of the slot down until it clicks into ‘’locked’’ position. Finally, you must close the ink-cartridge access door, and then test your HP Color Copier 170. Please note that you will have to press the [Select/Resume] button, if the following message ‘’Align Cartridges’’ is displayed after the installation.
