OFFICEJET 6310 BLACK OEM INK CARTRIDGE

You should replace the ink cartridges installed in your HP OfficeJet 6310 All-in-One Printer when a low-ink warning message appears on the LCD screen, or if print quality is unsatisfactory. Please note that you should perform the simple maintenance procedures listed below to ensure the best print quality from your HP OfficeJet 6310 All-in-One Printer.

Cleaning of the installed Ink Cartridges

With this feature, you can resolve some print quality problems, such as streaking, white lines, and inaccurate colors. You can clean the installed ink cartridges from the control panel by pressing [Setup] – [6] – [1].

Aligning the installed Ink Cartridges

To insure high quality output, you should perform the alignment procedure every time you install or replace an ink cartridge. Please press [Setup] – [6] – [2] if you want to align the installed ink cartridges.

Printing a Self-Test report

You can use this feature to determine whether an installed ink cartridge should be replaced or not. Please press [Setup] – [2] – [4] to print a Self-Test report.

Please note that you can check the condition/status of the installed ink cartridges from the HP Photosmart software. Please follow the detailed instructions provided below to install a new ink cartridge(s) in your HP OfficeJet 6310 All-in-One Printer.

Important: Please hold the new ink cartridges only by their plastic sides, and make sure that the label is on top. The current replacement procedure can also be used for replacement of the black ink cartridge with a photo ink cartridge.

You must make sure that your HP OfficeJet 6310 All-in-One Printer is turned on, and then open the ink cartridge compartment. Please wait until the cartridge carriage is idle and silent. Then, you must unlock the exhausted ink cartridge by pressing it gently down. Please note that the Tri-color ink cartridge is installed in the left slot of the cartridge carriage, and resp. the Black or the Photo ink cartridge is installed into the right slot. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must remove the exhausted ink cartridge by pulling it towards you, and then unpack a new ink cartridge, making sure that its color matches. After that, you must remove the plastic tape from the contact area of the new ink cartridge by using the pink pull-tab, and then slide the new component into the corresponding slot. Now, you must push the new ink cartridge gently down to lock it into place, and then close the ink cartridge compartment. Finally, you must align the installed ink cartridges by pressing [OK].
