Toshiba e-Studio 207 Review
Several factors are to be considered for an office to be successful and exemplary document processing is one. Toshiba look upon this factor and come up with a 4-in-1 multifunction device that shall take great role in boosting business workflow, the Toshiba e-Studio 207. If you’ve known Toshiba with its every release of e-Studio line of devices, then e-Studio 207 can be better yet described as a sister multifunction device of e-Studio 167 and e-Studio 237 which is the second fastest in terms of output speed among the three (e-Studio 167 is the slowest and e-Studio 237 is the fastest among the three). It resembles like a large standing rectangular box covered with cream color relieved by some panels in gray and styled with a few simple lines that are smart-looking which just heightened its individuality. At the front most part in the top panel are useful highlights embedded in a gray panel. These highlights include an LCD display and an array of buttons for controls including the three larger ones in yellow, orange and green color used for some basic functions such as for starting and stopping print, copy and scan actions.
To maximize the benefits from its functionality, Toshiba integrated essential management and monitoring applications. One of which is TopAccess that monitors different statuses in e-Studio 207 providing instant alerts to network computers if paper reloading or toner replenishment is needed. There’s also the Toshiba Viewer that enables both standard GDI printing and TWAIN compatible scanning and the e-Bridge Viewer that makes access of needed documents easy with it enabling broad searching among all selected data stored in a PC in which search can be narrowed by certain identified criteria.
Benefiting the same features and functionality, e-Studio 237, a sister e-Studio multifunction device of e-Studio 207, is a better choice since it has a relatively faster output speed which outranks e-Studio 207’s performance in boosting office workflow. It is as well bulky with its dimensions of 23.62”W x 25.31”D x 18.21”H and mobility is a bit hassle with its weight at 70.1 lbs. Operating system compatibility is also a problem as by default, it is incompatible to newer operating systems namely Windows Vista and 7 since its compatibility are on operating systems prior to its release or in the case of Windows OS is only until Windows XP and so driver/s (if available, which may be found directly in the official manufacturer’s site) is/are needed to be downloaded and installed to be compatible with these newer versions. |
