XEROX FAXCENTRE F12 DRUM

The drum installed in your Xerox FaxCentre F12 Laser Fax Machine is a very important component that should be replaced when an appropriate warning message (DRUM WARNING) appears on the LCD screen. You can check the status of the installed drum from the Information tab (located between the Phonebook and the Firmware Update tabs) of the printer software. Please note that an exhausted drum can cause various print-quality issues. Therefore, you should install a new drum if print quality is unsatisfactory. Please also note that you can resolve some print-quality problems by cleaning the installed drum. You can clean the installed drum by selecting [CLEAN DRUM] from the Maintenance menu of the control panel.

Initially, you must open the side cover of the Xerox FaxCentre F12 Laser Fax Machine, and then open the front cover. Please do not attempt to open the front cover before opening the side cover of the laser fax machine. After that, you must turn the lock/release lever of the toner cartridge slot upwards, and then remove the toner cartridge from the machine. Now, you must pull the used drum out of the main unit, and then take the new drum out of the protective packaging. Please do not touch the shiny surface of the new drum. In the next step, you must slide the new drum into the slot until it is firmly inserted, and then reinstall the toner cartridge. Once the toner cartridge is firmly inserted, you must push the lock/release lever of the toner cartridge slot down, and then close the front cover. Finally, you must close the side cover, and then reset the drum counter by selecting [1.YES].
