When do I Replace a Toner Cartridge in the Xerox Phaser 6115 Color Laser Printer?

The toner cartridge carousel of your Xerox Phaser 6115 Color Laser Printer contains four toner cartridges: Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black. You can check the percentage of remaining toner by pressing the [Display] button once. Please note that you can obtain detailed information about all installed consumables by printing a configuration page.
An installed toner cartridge must be replaced if it is exhausted, incompatible, damaged, or defective. All system notifications and print quality problems, which indicate toner cartridge related abnormalities, are listed below.

Blank printouts or blank spots on the printed page; solid black or color printouts; image is too dark; image is blurred; background is stained; residual images; image defects – The most common cause for these print quality problems is a damaged or defective toner cartridge(s). Therefore, you should remove the installed toner cartridges from the Xerox Phaser 6115 Color Laser Printer, and check them for damages/defects. All damaged/defective toner cartridges must be replaced.

Image density is too low; print density is uneven – An indication for a low toner level. All nearly empty toner cartridges must be replaced.

The message [X TONER EMPTY], [TONER LIFE END <> CHANGE X TONER], or [X TONER EMPTY <> CHANGE X TONER] is displayed – The indicated toner cartridge is empty. You must install a new [X] toner cartridge.

The message [X TONER INCORRECT] is displayed – The indicated toner cartridge cannot be used in your Xerox Phaser 6115 Color Laser Printer. You must install a new, compatible [X] toner cartridge.

The message [X TONER LOW] is displayed – The toner remaining in the indicated cartridge will be consumed within 200 A4 pages at 5% coverage. You must make sure that you have a new toner cartridge of the specified color in stock.

The message [X TONER NOT INSTALLED] is displayed – The Xerox Phaser 6115 Color Laser Printer does not detect the specified toner cartridge. Please make sure that the specified toner cartridge is installed properly. You will have to install a new [X] toner cartridge if the problem persists.

Overview:

The Xerox Phaser 6115 is perfect for any office no matter its size. This all-in-one device offers printing, scanning, copying, and faxing. It comes network ready and offers a legal-size flatbed scanner. Output speed is outstanding and it is easy to use and maintain.

Pros:

The Xerox Phaser 6115MFP is built with a 200-sheet input tray and a 100-sheet output bin. With the output bin you get an extendable tray that you can lock into either of two positions, depending on the length of your prints. A second 500 sheet output tray can be added for $350. There is no manual feed slot or tray bypass, so all your print jobs will need to be fed through the main tray.
A long list of features is one thing to love with the Xerox Phaser 6115MFP. It can print, scan, fax, and copy. It comes network-ready, allowing everyone in your office to use it. The Xerox Phaser 6115 can be directly connected to your PC using USB 2.0 or to a network with an Ethernet connection.
Copying with the Xerox Phaser 6115 is not difficult. There are separate start buttons for scanning monochrome documents and color documents. Documents can be resized before you make copies from 50 to 200 percent. Advanced features for the Xerox Phaser 6115 include collated copy, 2-on-1 copies, ID card copy, and double-sided copy.
Faxing capabilities are above average with the Xerox Phaser 6115. Users can program up to nine on-touch dial numbers and up to 100 speed dial numbers. Additionally faxes can be sent to up to 125 recipients at once. Also, incoming faxes can be stored in the unit’s memory. Plus this feature is secure and a password is required to view these documents.

Cons:

One feature that the Xerox Phaser 6115 lacks is a built-in duplexer. Using its scan functions can be time consuming as well. The Xerox 6115MFP only allows you to scan to e-mail from the printer, but even this function is limited. One drawback to this feature is that it sends the e-mail directly from the printer.
