When to Replace the Drum in a Brother HL-2270DW Printer

You will be able to know when you replace Brother HL-2270DW printer’s drum unit once you see Drum LED on the printer. If it is on you should replace the rum unit.

Brother HL-2270DW printer will stop working once you see and LED’s on.

How to Install the Drum in a Brother HL-2270DW Printer

Open front cover door. Uninstall drum and cartridge assembly out of the printer.

Push green lock from the left side of the assembly to release toner cartridge aside from drum unit.

Dispose of old drum unit due to local regulations and laws.

Open new drum unit. Take away its protector and assemble it with toner cartridge.

Install toner cartridge into drum unit. Once you hear the lock click you have installed correctly the toner cartridge into the assembly.

Clean corona by sliding green tab from side to side and return it to its primary position.

Install assembly back to the Brother HL-2270DW printer.

Push button and hold, all four LED will turn on; once you see that let go of button.

Close the front cover door.
