When do I Replace a Toner Cartridge in the Kyocera Mita KM-F1060 Laser Printer?

The Kyocera Mita KM-F1060 Laser Printer will display one of the listed messages if it detects a toner cartridge related abnormality.

[U13 TONER IS RUNNING LOW] – The amount of toner remaining in the installed cartridge will be consumed within 500 prints at 5% coverage. You should purchase a new toner cartridge soon.

[WARNING! ! TONER LOW LESS THAN 50 PAGES] – The installed toner cartridge is nearly empty. You should install a new toner cartridge to avoid print quality problems and printing delays.

[U13 OUT OF TONER] – The Kyocera Mita KM-F1060 Laser Printer cannot print or copy because the installed toner cartridge is empty. Please install a new toner cartridge to resume printing/copying.

[U16 INSTALL TONER] – The Kyocera Mita KM-F1060 Laser Printer does not detect the toner cartridge. You must make sure that the toner cartridge is installed correctly. Please replace the installed toner cartridge if the problem persists.

The red [Status] LED is lit – The toner level is insufficient. Please install a new toner cartridge.

How to Install a Toner Cartridge in the Kyocera Mita KM-F1060 Laser Printer

You must make sure that your Kyocera Mita KM-F1060 Laser Printer is on, and then open the front cover. After that, you must pull the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly slightly upwards, and then pull it out of the laser printer. Now, you must remove the used toner cartridge from the drum unit by pulling it towards you while pressing the release button, and then unpack the replacement component. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must redistribute the toner by shaking the new cartridge several times from side to side, and then remove the protective cover from the front side of the new component. Once the new toner cartridge is prepared, you must insert it into the drum unit until it clicks into place, and then insert the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly into the printer. Next, you must press the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly down to lock it into place, and then close the front cover of your Kyocera Mita KM-F1060 Laser Printer. This unit offers fast fax transmission speeds. It can transmit faxes at a rate of 2.7 seconds per page. Furthermore this unit can print 19 pages per minute.

The Kyocera Mita KM-F1060 comes with a 250 sheet cassette. It can handle a variety of paper sizes including 5.5” x 8.5”, 8.5" x 11” , and 8.5” x 14”. This unit can print on a variety of media types including envelopes, recycled paper, and cardstock.

Toner cartridges for this unit yield 5,000 pages. They are affordable and easy to install. Output quality with cartridges for this unit is outstanding. Graphics are sharp and well defined. Text is of professional quality and easily readable at 4 point fonts.

Cons:

The Kyocera Mita KM-1060 offers outstanding output. However it does lack finishing features that will reduce the amount of manual work you will have to do collating and stapling documents.
