KM-3530 DRUM

The drum unit installed in your KYOCERA MITA KM-3530 is a very important consumable component, which must be replaced before its complete exhaustion. Therefore, the built-in system of your laser printer is constantly monitoring the condition/status of the installed drum unit. Once the system detects a drum unit related abnormality or that the installed drum unit is near the end of its useful life, it will display an appropriate warning message on the control LCD of your printer. For example, you must replace the installed drum unit, if the following message ''Call Service C7410: Drum unit connector insertion problem'' is displayed on the control LCD. You should also replace the installed drum unit, if any of the following print quality problems is reappearing on the printed documents: background fogging, blurred images, blank copies, solid copies, white banding, and/or black banding. The complete drum unit replacement procedure is included below.

Initially, you must turn off your KYOCERA MITA KM-3530 laser printer, and then open the front cover. After that, you must take the toner cartridge and the waste toner container out of the printer (please refer to ''How to Install a Toner Cartridge and a Waste Toner Container in the KYOCERA MITA KM-3530''), and then remove the screw from the developer unit. Now, you must unlock the developer unit by turning its lock release lever counterclockwise, and then take the developer unit out of the printer. Once the developer unit is removed, you must unlock the exhausted drum unit by removing its locking screws, and then pull the exhausted component out of the printer. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must unpack the new drum unit, and then insert it into the slot, but please avoid touching the photoconductive drum. After that, you must attach the screws, which are securing the drum unit to the machine, and then insert the developer unit back into the printer. Now, you must turn the lock release lever of the developer unit clockwise and attach its locking screw, and then reinstall the toner cartridge and the waste toner container (please refer to ''How to Install a Toner Cartridge and a Waste Toner Container in the KYOCERA MITA KM-3530''). Finally, you must close the front cover and test your laser printer.
