You must make sure that the message [Replace Staple cartridge] is displayed on the LCD, and then slide the finisher to the left as far as it will go. After that, you must open the right door of the finisher, and then turn the dial of the stapler units to the left in order to move the stapler units to the replacement position. Now, you must remove the holder of the exhausted staple cartridge from the corresponding stapler unit, and then open the staple cartridge holder. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must pull the exhausted staple cartridge out of the holder, and then insert the new staple cartridge into place. Once the new staple cartridge is inserted, you must close the staple cartridge holder, and then remove the lock tape from the new staples. Next, you must insert the staple cartridge holder into the corresponding stapler unit until it clicks into place, and then close the right door of the finisher. Finally, you must slide the finisher back to its original position.
Finisher FS-522
Initially, you must make sure that the Konica Minolta BizHub 501 Laser Printer is switched on, and then touch [Finishing]. Next, you must select [Replace Staples], and then wait until the message [Please close the door after confirming the needle in front of Finisher] disappears. After that, you must open the front door of the finisher, and then remove the staple cartridge holder from the stapler unit. Now, you must remove the empty staple cartridge from the holder, and then insert the new staple cartridge into place. Once the new staple cartridge is inserted, you must close the holder, and then remove the protective seal from the new staples. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must insert the staple cartridge holder into the stapler unit, and then push it down until it clicks into place. Finally, you must close the front door of the finisher.
Saddle Stitcher SD-507
In the first step of the replacement procedure, you must open the tray of the saddle stitcher, and then unlock the staple cartridge holder by pushing its handle down. After that, you must pull the staple cartridge holder out of the saddle stitcher, and then remove the empty staple cartridge from the holder. Now, you must insert the new staple cartridge into the holder, and then close the holder by pushing its upper section down. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must remove the lock tape from the new staples, and then reinstall the staple cartridge holder into the stapler unit. Finally, you must open the stapling section of the saddle stitcher, and then close it.
