When do I Replace a Toner Cartridge in the Xerox WorkCentre XD100MFP Laser Printer?

A new, standard yield toner cartridge lasts up to 6,000 pages at 5% coverage. You can extend the useful life of the installed toner cartridge by decreasing the overall copy density. Please note that the lifespan of the installed toner cartridge will be noticeably shorter if:

You turn the Xerox WorkCentre XD100MFP Laser Printer on and off frequently

The originals contain pictures, solids, or heavy graphics

The document cover is being left open while copying

You should replace the installed toner cartridge in the following circumstances:

How to Install a Toner Cartridge in the Xerox WorkCentre XD100MFP Laser Printer

In the first step of the replacement procedure, you must lower the alternate paper tray, and then open the side cover by pressing its release lever. After that, you must open the front cover, and then remove the used toner cartridge by pulling it slowly towards you while pressing down the green release lever. Next, you must redistribute the toner by shaking the new cartridge 5-6 times from side to side, and then remove the protective cover from the front side of the new component. Once the new toner cartridge is prepared, you must slide it into the slot until it locks into place, and then close the front cover. In the concluding step of the replacement procedure, you must close the side cover of your Xerox WorkCentre XD100MFP Laser Printer.
