Initially, you must open the front door, and then lift the top cover of your Dell Color 3000CN Laser Printer. Now, you must unlock the exhausted imaging drum cartridge by pushing upwards the lock release lever, which is located on the right inner side of the printer, and then remove the exhausted consumable component by pulling it towards you at an angle of about 45degrees. Please note that you should avoid touching the sensitive green surface of the photoconductive drum (at the bottom of the new imaging drum cartridge). In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must unpack the new imaging drum cartridge, and then remove the protective sheet from the photoconductive drum. After that, you must insert the prepared new imaging drum cartridge into the slot while pushing the lock release lever (on the right inner side) upwards, and then secure the new consumable component by pushing the lock release lever down. Finally, you must close top cover, and then close the front door of your Dell Color 3000CN Laser Printer.
