With a built in WiFi card allowing for an easy setup to an entire office network, this LED device is an excellent choice for those looking to add color print capabilities to their business without having to purchase a multifunctional unit.

Pros:

A single USB 2.0 port is included in the Brother HL-3070CW Color LED Printer’s hardware for those looking to simply connect to a single host PC but, if you’re going to spend the money, why not use the printer as it was designed? Shared, desktop color laser printers have become a staple in most offices due to their ability to add color capabilities to an entire business at a very low cost when compared to high volume units that are better suited for large offices or specialty businesses.

Color imagery prints are excusably slower, but at around 3 pages per minute, this printer is pushing it (interestingly, when printing from a Mac, print speeds increase slightly for both monochrome and color).

While the 250 sheet paper storage tray is completely acceptable for a printer of the Brother HL-3070CW Color LED’s stature, the fact that it is not upgradable is not. It is very uncommon to find a device in this field that does not support additional paper trays, and the 3070’s lack of support in this area makes it stand out as a limited unit.
