Your Brother MFC-7225N Multifunction Printer is equipped with a special built-in system for advanced notification. This system is constantly monitoring the status of all consumable printer components. The installed drum unit is also included in the monitoring list of the built-in system, and because of that you will be notified about any detected abnormalities related to the drum unit's status. Once the drum unit is near the end of its useful life, resp. the end of its printing resource, the built-in system will detect the change of its status, and you will see the following message ''Change Drum Soon''on the control display of your MFC-7225N. It is very important the installed drum unit to be replaced soon after the initial appearance of the warning message, because the working condition of the drum unit is directly defining the overall print quality. Once the drum unit is at the end of its useful life/printing resource, the printing quality will be gradually decreasing and the possibility for print quality problems rises drastically. Herein, if you have already noticed the described above warning message and/or if you are experiencing reappearing print quality problems, you should promptly purchase a new drum unit and install it into your Brother MFC-7225N Multifunction Printer by performing the included below drum unit replacement procedure.

In the initial step of the drum unit replacement in your Brother MFC-7225N Multifunction Printer, you must open the front cover and take the exhausted drum unit out of the printer by carefully pulling it straight towards you, but be aware that some printer components will be still very hot. Now, you must separate the still useable toner cartridge from the exhausted drum unit by pulling it out at an angle of 45degrees while pressing down the blue lock release lever, which is located on the left side of the drum unit. Then, you must unpack the new drum unit, but only if you are also ready to immediately perform the next step. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must insert the toner cartridge into the new drum unit until it clicks into place, and then make sure that the blue lock release lever has been automatically raised. After that, you must insert the new drum unit and toner cartridge assembly into the printer slot, and then press the [Options] button. Please note that once you have pressed the [Options] button, you will see the following message ''Replace Drum? 1.Yes 2.No'', where you must confirm the new drum unit installation by pressing the [1] button. Finally, you must wait for the following message ''Accepted'' to appear on the LCD, and then close the front cover of your Brother MFC-7225N Multifunction Printer.
