CLX-3160 COLOR TONER CARTRIDGES SET

The Samsung CLX-3160 Multifunction Printer is equipped with a different cartridge for each of the following colors: Yellow, Magenta, Cyan, and Black. A new Black toner cartridge lasts an average of 2,000 pages at 5% coverage, and each of the installed Color toner cartridges can print up to 1,000 pages at 5% coverage. You can check the current status of the printer, and the condition of the installed toner cartridges at any time from the information menus of the Samsung Smart Panel software. You should replace an installed toner cartridge(s) if:

The red [Status] LED is on or blinking – An installed toner cartridge(s) is probably exhausted. Therefore, you should open the Samsung Smart Panel program and check the condition of all installed toner cartridge. All nearly empty, empty, or/and exhausted toner cartridges must be replaced.

One of the listed and explained messages appears:

‘’ [Color] Toner Empty’’ – The indicated toner cartridge has run out. All color/print operations will be disabled until a new toner cartridge of the indicated color is installed.

‘’ [Color] Toner Low’’ – Your Samsung CLX-3160 Multifunction Printer is running out of toner of indicated color. You must install a new toner cartridge of the indicated color soon, in order to be avoided print-quality issues and a non-operational mode.

‘’ [Color] Toner Supply Error’’ – You should try to resolve the problem by turning the laser printer off and then back on. A new toner cartridge set must be installed if the problem persists.

‘’Install [Color] Toner’’ – The Samsung CLX-3160 Multifunction Printer cannot detect the specified toner cartridge. You must make sure that the indicated toner cartridge is installed in accordance with the instructions given in ‘’ How to Install a Toner Cartridge in the Samsung CLX-3160 Multifunction Printer’’. A new toner cartridge of the specified color must be installed if the problem persists.

‘’Invalid [Color] Toner’’ – The specified toner cartridge is either defective or not intended for use in your laser printer. You must replace the indicated toner cartridge with a new toner cartridge designed for your Samsung CLX-3160 Multifunction Printer.

‘’Replace [Color] Toner’’ – This warning message will be displayed on the LCD screen when the remaining toner in the indicated toner cartridge drops under 5%. To avoid interruptions of your work, you should install a new toner cartridge immediately after the initial appearance of the warning message on the LCD screen.

You have noticed a reduction in print quality – All nearly empty, nearly exhausted, or/and expired toner cartridges must be replaced. The complete replacement procedure is included below.

You must turn off your Samsung CLX-3160 Multifunction Printer, and wait at least 10 minutes before proceeding with the toner cartridge replacement, in order to allow the machine to cool. After that, you must open the front cover by gently pulling its handle towards you, and then take the used toner cartridge out of the laser printer. Now, you must take the replacement toner cartridge out of the protective package, and then roll it 7-8 times to ensure optimal toner distribution. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must remove the protective cap from the new toner cartridge, and then align the new cartridge with the guides of the corresponding slot. Once the new toner cartridge is correctly aligned, you must slide it into the machine until it clicks/locks into place, and then close the front cover firmly. Finally, you must turn on your Samsung CLX-3160 Multifunction Printer, and then print a test page.
