TONER CARTRIDGE - HIGH YIELD for DELL 5330DN LASER PRINTER

It is important to remember when installing a cartridge that the green underside of the cartridge itself is the exposed drum and this part of the unit must never be touched by hand as this could damage the life of the cartridge. Even used up cartridges should be handled carefully as they could spill excess toner on clothing and carpets.

The toner cartridge for the DELL 5330DN can be accessed very easily by simply lifting up the top cover. It is important to always handle the cartridge by its handle when possible and to avoid touching metal parts of the device. Removing the cartridge can be done by lifting it straight up out of the unit.

The new cartridge should never be removed from its bag until immediately before it is to be installed. This is to prevent damage from excess light. While sometimes it is best to use scissors to open toner packaging, it is advised to NOT do so in this case as the DELL 5330DN toner bag can be torn open by hand. This bag can be used to store the old toner cartridge for recycling.

Sealing tape can be seen on one end of the toner cartridge and this must be pulled all the way out of the cartridge and thrown away for it to function. Please keep in mind that if this tape gets damaged or cut, you simply cannot use the toner cartridge.

A flexible plastic holder will also be found on the cartridge and this too much be removed. It can be done so quite easily by popping it off of the center of the unit. The cartridge must also be shaken to distribute the toner inside which may have settled during transit. This can be done by holding the cartridge by its handle or by its sides and gently rocking it in all directions.

When installing the cartridge, it should be held by its handle and lined up with the groves inside the printer. If it is not aligned correctly, it will not go into the printer. There should be no excessive force required for insertion of the cartridge. When that tabs and groves are lined up correctly, it will drop in easily.

Once the cartridge is positioned correctly in the printer, the top cover can be closed. It will take about 15 seconds for the printer to configure the new cartridge and become ready to print.

Keep in mind that the paper type that is being used in the DELL 5330DN’s main paper tray must be configured in the host PC’s software as well as by the guides inside the tray. When loading the printer’s tray, it must be fully removed from the printer. This can be accomplished by pulling it out by its handle.

The paper width guides can be adjusted by squeezing and must by slid to the proper positions so that they rest against the edge of the desired paper side. When the guides are adjusted, bend the paper stack a couple of times and then insert it into the tray, then slide the tray into the printer.
