The first step is to connect the product directly to the network by using a network cable. Then use the control panel to print a Configuration page. Next put the product CD-ROM into your computer. If the software installer does not activate itself, navigate to the SETUP.EXE file on the CD-ROM and double-click. Next select RECOMMENDED INSTALL. Then navigate the welcome screen and select NEXT.  Afterwards on the Installer updates screen, click YES to search for installer updates. On the Installation Options screen if you are using Windows 2000/XP/Vista select the installation option. Then you will be on the License Agreement screen. First use the embedded web server and choose the Settings tab. Next select PASSWORD. In the PASSWORD box, type the password that you want and in the CONFIRM PASSWORD box type the same password once more. Finally click APPLY to save the password.
