Overview:

Hewlett & Packard brings the HP Color LaserJet CP1525nw printer that is capable of providing professional color documents wirelessly.  With added network-ability, the printer is comprehensible to set up and print from anywhere.  This eco-friendly printer utilizes a set of technologies that generate minimal impact on the environment and in your wallet.  The printer gives out complete results and sensible functionality that is suitable for marketing materials.  The boxy-like design, with its rounded off edges, will fit upon any desktop hutch; its dimensions are 15.7-inches wide, 17.8-inches deep, 10-inches tall, with a weight of 40 pounds.

Pros:

This smallish printer will print at a percentage of 12 Letter A sized pages per minute in Black and 8 Letter A sized pages per minute in Color.  HP recommends a monthly amount of 250-1000 pages per month, but the printer is capable of extending the volume to around 30,000 pages.  So, it is expedient to have a printer capable of a decent quantity of prints, and if needed, beyond the recommendation.  The printer incorporates HP ImageREt 3600 technologies and prints at a resolution of 600 x 600 dots per inch for both modes, Black and Color.

The printer's network-ability allows some leeway for useful functionality with its wireless connections and implicit Ethernet port.  Users can print from any location with the HP ePrint software.  The device is relatively painless to set up from the start.  Managers may determine the cost per print with included software, and there are various tools and templates that users may apply at their discretion.  Shortcuts can be pre-configured to optimize quality production and speeds based on the selected media.  Wireless management is extensive with its password-protected incorporated web server.  Managers may disable/enable network parts at their discretion. 

The printer has standard memory of 128 Mega Bytes, expandable up to 384 Mega Bytes, running with a processor speed of 600 MHz.  With only active acoustic levels up to 48 decibels, the printer should operate reasonably quiet behind the scenes.  The standard languages the printer utilizes are PCL 6, PCL 5, and PostScript 3.  Maximum allowable document sizes are 8.5 x 14-inches and a minimum size of 3 x 5-inches.  The output tray, its location on the middle-top of the printer, can hold up to 125 sheets.  The input tray can hold up to 150 sheets with its location at the bottom-front of the printer.  Upgrading is limited to the printers DIMM system, which modifies the memory to 128 Mega Bytes 256 Mega Bytes using 144-pin DIMMs.

This printer could be an obvious choice if an organization needs to juggle multiple jobs with speed and accuracy.  The HP Color LaserJet CP1525nw has a decent processor speed capable of dishing out up to 20 pages per minute, depending on the complexity of prints.  This printer is quite cost-effective and durable.  The printer utilizes a 2-line LCD with a 16-character display, which is appropriate, but could be better with visuals and a higher resolution. 

Cons:

The resolution is limited to 600 x 600 dots per inch; most InkJet printers have greater resolution with excellent prints.  If a business specializes in graphic design, photography, and imaging than this is not the printer for them.  Unfortunately, this printer is not a 'one size fits all'.   The printer lacks faxing and copying features.  The printer runs on 295 watts when operating.  This is a sizable impact on the electric bill.  With the given specs, it 295 watts consumption does not make much sense when other printers with obvious higher-end specs consume less.
