IBM INFOPRINT 1120 FUSER MAINTENANCE KIT

A new fuser assembly unit lasts about 250,000 pages. You should replace the fuser assembly unit installed in your IBM InfoPrint 1120 Laser Printer when:

‘’80 Scheduled Maintenance’’ appears on the LCD screen

Toner fog or background shading appears

Initially, you must turn the laser printer off, unplug its power cord, and then open the upper and bottom covers. After that, you must release the latch of the right cover and remove the mounting screw. Then, you must take the red drive assembly out of the main unit and remove the second mounting screw from the right cover. Now, you must remove the right side cover, and then remove the ground screw. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must remove the screws that secure the used fuser assembly unit to the printer chassis, and then disconnect the AC fuser lamp connector from the LVPS. Once the connector of the AC fuser lamp is disconnected, you must disconnect the DC fuser cable from the engine board, and then remove the used fuser assembly unit from the IBM InfoPrint 1120 Laser Printer. At this stage of the installation, you must unpack the new fuser assembly unit, insert it into the laser printer, and then attach the DC fuser cable and the AC fuser lamp connector. Finally, you must fix the new fuser assembly unit into place with the mounting screws, and then reinstall all previously removed components by following the current procedure in reverse order.
