When do I Replace a Drum Unit in the Konica Minolta PagePro 1400W Laser Printer?

A new drum unit lasts approx. 20,000 pages at 5% coverage. You can check the usage status of the drum unit installed in your Konica Minolta PagePro 1400W Laser Printer from the Supplies Status menu. You should replace the installed drum unit when any of the listed print-quality problems appears. Please check the condition of the installed toner cartridge before replacing the drum unit.

How to Install a Drum Unit in the Konica Minolta PagePro 1400W Laser Printer

Important: Please be aware that the surface of the organic photoconductive drum is extremely sensitive to bright light, direct sunlight, and touch.

Initially, you must open the front cover of your Konica Minolta PagePro 1400W Laser Printer, and then pull the imaging cartridge (drum unit and toner cartridge assembly) out of the main compartment. In the next step, you must unlock the toner cartridge by rotating its release lever in a clockwise direction, and then separate the toner cartridge and the drum cartridge. After that, you must unpack the new drum unit, and then insert the toner cartridge into the new component. Finally, you must insert the imaging cartridge into the Konica Minolta PagePro 1400W Laser Printer, and then close the front cover.
