This toner cartridge prints 7200 pages with average 5% coverage (Nearly all Printer manufacturers base their ink/toner cartridge yields on 5% page coverage).

This product comes with a 6 month Warranty against any defects (including free replacement). We stand behind our products 100%, as these are not manufactured by Kyocera Mita.

Why toner? Why not call it ink? Regular ink dries quickly, which is why cartridges for inkjet printers do not last long. Laser Printers use toner, which is ink in the form of powder. A sealed toner cartridge can be stored for 2+ years prior to usage.

When do I Replace a Toner Cartridge in the Kyocera Mita FS-1030D Laser Printer?

The replacement interval of the installed toner cartridge is approx. 7,200 pages at 5% coverage. Please note that you can extend the replacement interval by activating the EcoPrint mode, which reduces toner consumption by decreasing the print/toner density. One of the listed indications and print quality problems will appear when the installed toner cartridge reaches the end of its useful life.

How to Install a Toner Cartridge in the Kyocera Mita FS-1030D Laser Printer

In the first step of the replacement procedure, you must open the top cover, and then turn the lock lever of the process unit towards you. Next, you must slide the lock release lever of the toner cartridge to the right, and then remove the used toner cartridge from the laser printer. After that, you must unpack the new toner cartridge, and then shake it 7-8 times horizontally. Now, you must remove the protective seal from the new toner cartridge, and then slide the cartridge into the printer until it clicks into place. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must push the lock release lever of the process unit forward until it stops, and then close the top cover of your Kyocera Mita FS-1030D Laser Printer. Finally, you must press and hold down the [GO] button to reset the toner counter.

Overview:

The Kyocera Mita FS-1030D is an outstanding printer for any business. It can print 22 pages per minute and comes with a 250 sheet paper tray. Output quality is outstanding. Color images are vivid and bright and you can hard tell that they are not the original.

Pros:

The Kyocera Mita FS-1030D offers duplexing which will help to lower printing cost and reduce the amount of paper you use..
With the Kyocera Mita FS-1030D you get a 250 sheet paper tray which pulls out from the bottom front and above that a 50 sheet multi-purpose tray.
At the back of the FS-1030D, you get a USB 2.0 and parallel connections. It does not come with a network adapter, but it can be added as an optional feature.
The toner cartridge is easy to install. Plus the cost of consumables is not a lot with this printer.

Installing the driver with the FS-1030D isn’t difficult. All you have to do is to connect the printer first and select the right driver from the menu. The software will then select the right model for you.
The Kyocera Mita FS-1030D can print 22ppm. Text documents produced by this printer are easy to read at four point fonts. There are no signs of smudging when printing with the FS-1030D.

Cons:

The Kyocera Mita FS-1030D is limited since it only comes with a 250 sheet paper tray. On top of that it can only be expanded by 250 sheets.
Another shortcoming is that the Kyocera Mita DS-1030D gives users limited information on its status. There are only four LEDs on top. These lights show you power, data, paper out and low toner.
