KYOCERA MITA KM-4035 TONER CARTRIDGES 5PACK

The lifespan of a new toner cartridge is approx. 34,000 prints at 5% page coverage. Please note that you can extend the useful life of the installed toner cartridge by using the Eco Print mode. One of the listed messages will appear on the LCD screen when the installed toner cartridge reaches the end of its useful life.

 

·       [Ready to copy. Add toner.] – The installed toner cartridge is nearly empty. All multi-page print operations are disabled in this situation. You should replace the installed toner cartridge with a new one.

 

·       [Add toner to resume copying.] – The Kyocera Mita KM-4035 Laser Printer cannot print or copy because the installed toner cartridge is empty. Please install a new toner cartridge to resume copying/printing.

Initially, you must open the front cover of your Kyocera Mita KM-4035 Laser Printer, and then remove the used toner cartridge by pulling it towards you while pushing the release lever up. Next, you must unpack the new toner cartridge, and then shake it several times from side to side. After that, you must slide the new toner cartridge along the rail of the slot until it locks into place, and then remove the waste toner container from the machine. Now, you must close the opening of the old waste toner container with the included seal, and then unpack the new waste toner container. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must clean the electrostatic grid with the included grid cleaner, and then insert the new waste toner container into the laser printer. Once the new waste toner container is installed, you must slide the cleaning shaft several times in and out of its slot, and then return it to its original position. Next, you must open the left cover, and then use the cleaning brush to clean the separator. Finally, you must close the left and front covers of your Kyocera Mita KM-4035 Laser Printer.

The Kyocera Mita KM-4035 Laser Printer uses a 1.57 inches amorphous silicon drum to create the toner image. The drum is encompassed in a special cartridge - Drum Unit. The useful life of a new drum unit is approx. 500,000 prints at 5% page coverage. You can check the total number of pages printed since the installation of the drum unit by executing the short procedure included below.

 

1.     Press the [Start] button

2.     Use the numeric keys to enter [10871087]

3.     Enter maintenance item number [U110]

4.     Press the [Start] button again – The drum count is displayed

5.     Press the [Stop/Clear] key

 

You should replace the installed drum unit when/if any of the listed error codes and print quality problems appears. Please check the drum unit for correct installation and connection before replacing it. Please note that you can solve some print quality problems by performing [Drum Refresh] (press [Drum refresh] – [On]).

 

·       The error code [C7410] is displayed

 

·       Black vertical line(s) appears

 

·       Black horizontal line(s) appears

 

·       Black dots appear

 

·       Image/text is partly missing

Initially, you must switch the Kyocera Mita KM-4035 Laser Printer off, and then open the front cover. Next, you must remove the toner cartridge by pulling it towards you while pressing the release lever up, and then carefully remove the waste toner container from the machine. After that, you must remove the mounting screw from the developing unit, and then turn the release lever counterclockwise. Now, you must pull the developing unit out of the laser printer, and then remove the screws securing the exhausted drum unit into place. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must pull the exhausted drum unit out of the Kyocera Mita KM-4035 Laser Printer, and then remove the packing material from the replacement component. Finally, you must install the new drum unit by executing the current procedure in reverse order, and then reset the drum count by performing maintenance procedure [U110].
