LANIER 5515 DRUM

The 1.18 in. organic photoconductor drum used in your Lanier 5515 Multifunctional Device lasts approx. 60,000 A4 pages at 5% coverage. The main function of the drum is to generate the latent toner image. You should replace the installed drum if the quality of the produced printouts does not satisfy your needs.

To replace the drum, you must turn the Lanier 5515 Multifunctional Device off, and then unplug the power cord. Next, you must open the front door, and then remove the toner cartridge holder along with installed toner cartridge by pulling it towards you while pressing the release lever of the slot. After that, you must open the right door of the machine, and then remove the drum unit by pulling it towards you while pressing the release lever. Now, you must remove the screws from the left and right sides of the drum unit, remove the sidepieces, and then separate the drum section from the developer section. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must remove the drum retaining clip from the left side of the drum section, and then detach the front end of the exhausted drum from the drum section. After that, you must slide the exhausted drum to the left in order to remove it, and then install the new drum by executing the current procedure in reverse order. Once you have installed the new drum, you must turn the Lanier 5515 Multifunctional Device on, open and close the front door, and then wait 10 seconds. Finally, you must open and close the front door again, wait 10 seconds, and then take 5 sample copies.
