Replacing the Toner Cartridges in a MagiColor 4690 Printer

When a message that says your toner cartridge is low or ended, your imaging unit life is over or etc., appears, you have to print a CONFIGURATION PAGE to see what is happening with your printers consumables.

To do so find the REPORT menu using up and down arrows and enter it using SELECT key.

Search the menu with the arrows to find REPORT and again enter this section by pressing SELECT button.

Finally press START B&W or START COLOR key.

If a cartridge needs to be replaced you will see a message “TONER EMPTY/CHANGE X TONER” (X will be replaced with the color of the empty cartridge).

First open the machine’s front cover.

Pull the small lever in front of the cartridge you want to replace to its right side to.

Lower down the lever to release the cartridge.

Then slowly pull out the cartridge out of the machine.

Take the new one out of its packs and covers and shake it several times to distribute the toner that is inside equally.

Slide the full cartridge inside until it clicks into its right place.

When it is done pull out the protective seal bandage to release the toner.

Pull up the lever to lock the cartridge and put it to its right side to return it in its original position.

Then close the front cover.

Replacing the Drum Unit in a MagiColor 4690 Printer

When the Imaging Unit is near its end on the screen will appear message “I-UNIT END/REPLACE X” ( X is the color of the Imaging unit).

To do so open the front door of the machine and put the lever to its right side and then lower it down to release the cartridge that is the same color as the unit you have to replace.

Look at the forepart of the imaging unit and you will see a place signed “push.” As you are pushing this place pull out the Imaging unit slowly.

Take the new one from the box and clear it of all the protective covers and bandages. Shake it 2-3 times and slide it in the machine until it locks into place.

When you are ready, pull out the protective seal.

Return the cartridge into its original position and also return the lever that locks it back up and then right to lock it.

Then close the front cover of the machine.
