KONICA MINOLTA MAGICOLOR 4695MF COLOR TONER CARTRIDGES SET

There are two modes in which your machine can operate. First one is when your settings are made to show you warnings for your consumables. That can easily be made in the UTILITY menu, then enter the MACHINE SETTINGS menu and finally chose the TONER EMPTY option to be started. Then you will see a message TONER LOW/CHANGE X TONER. (In this message X indicates the color of the empty cartridge) That means your X cartridge is about to end soon. When that happens a new message will be displayed- TONER OUT/CHANGE X TONER (X again represents the color of the empty cartridge). If your settings are set to not show you a warning message before your cartridge is completely out of toner, there will be only the second message- TONER OUT/CHANGE X TONER on the screen. Konica Minolta MagiColor 4695MF is a color printer so there are four different cartridges for each of the four basic colors- Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black.

To replace one of them if it is necessary first turn the device OFF.

Then open the front cover of the machine.

Locate the empty cartridge from the message.

Turn the lever in front of it clockwise to unlock it and then lower it straight down to release the cartridge from the machine.

Slowly pull it out avoiding any spills.

Take the new cartridge of the same color out of the packaging and shake it several times to distribute the toner that is inside.

Then slide the new cartridge back into the machine exactly as the old one stood.

There is a small protective seal that holds the toner from spilling out. When the cartridge is inside the machine remove it by pulling it toward you.

Pull the lever up to secure the cartridge and turn it left to lock it in.

After you are done close the front cover of the machine end return its power ON.
Note: You can repeat these steps with every cartridge in this machine if it is necessary.

As in the cartridge’s case here again are four different Imaging units for the four colors. When a unit’s life is near end you will be warned with a message that says ´ I-UNIT END/REPLACE X´ (Here again X is the color of the I-Unit).

To replace the I-Unit turn the device OFF.

Open the front cover.

Locate the cartridge of the same color as the Imaging Unit you have to replace and take it out as if you will replace it.

Then look at the front part of the imaging unit there is a place marked “push”. By pressing this place slide the unit out of the machine.

Take the new one out of its bag/box. Remove all the protective covers or caps. Shake the imaging unit several times and then slowly slide it back in the machine.

When it is in place it will snaps slightly. Then return the cartridge back in its original place.
Note: Don’t forget to check the lever in front of it to be in place.

Then close the front cover and turn the machine back ON.
Note: You can repeat these steps with every Imaging unit in this machine if it is necessary.

WASTE TONER FULL/REPLACE BOTTLE. This is the message you will receive when it is time to replace your Waste toner bottle. It is very easy to replace it.

Just open the front cover.

Look at the top part of the machine. There you will see a locker.

To unlock the Waste toner bottle you have to twist it left.

When it is unlocked take out the two handles of the Waste toner bottle which is positioned in the bottom of the printer.

Grab the bottle and slowly pull it out of the machine.

Prepare the new bottle. Unpack it and remove all covers on it.

Then just slide it back where and as the old one was.

Take the handles back in.

Rotate the locker back to its right side and close the cover and you are done.

You can turn the machine back ON and continue with your work.

There will be a message on your screen when it is time for your Transfer Belt Unit to be replaced. The message will say “Trans. Belt Life”.

To replace the unit first open the front cover of your machine.

Carefully Take out all of the cartridges and Imaging units. Take out the Waste toner Bottle too.

Then look at the right side of the machine. There is a small lever. Pull it up and open the cover.

In the left and the right corners you will notice two holders. Rotate them left with something you have around you. (You may use a coin for example).

Then look at the left side of your machine. There is an output tray. You need to take it off.

Open the cover that is on the left side. There is a blue shutter that locks the Belt Unit. Pull it right to unlock it.

When it is done grab the handle of the unit and slowly slide it out of the machine.

Prepare the new Transfer Belt Unit. Remove all covers and protective caps from it.

Now in the hole that is in the printer you can notice the two rails that are positioned along it. You must slide the new Transfer unit on them to return it in its place.

Do that and then close the cover.

Return the output tray back on its place.

Close the lockers from the right side of the machine by rotating them clockwise.

Close the right-side cover.

After all this put back all the Toner Cartridges, all the Imaging Units and the Waste Toner Bottle as they originally stood.

When you are finished turn the machine back ON.
Note: Don’t forget to reset your Transfer Belt Unit by following these steps:

3 Enter SUPPLIES REPLACE
4 Choose TRANSFER BELT
