You can check the estimate percentage of toner remaining in the installed toner cartridges by pressing the [Display] key. An installed toner cartridge(s) should be replaced if any of the listed messages and print quality problems appears.

· Nothing is printed

· There are blank spots on the printed page

· Entire sheet is printed in black

· Entire sheet is printed in color

· Toner density/darkness is too low

· Image is too dark

· Blurred images

· Background is stained

· Color density is uneven

· Toner smudges

· Residual images

· Horizontal black lines or bands

· The message [X TONER EMPTY] is displayed

· The message [X TONER INCORRECT] is displayed

· The message [X TONER LOW] is displayed

· The message [CHANGE X TONER] is displayed

· The message [X TONER LIFE END] is displayed

You must make sure that the Konica Minolta MagiColor 2490MF Color Laser Printer is switched on, and then press the [TC Change] button. Please do not touch the transfer belt or the plate on the back of the scanner unit. After that, you must open the scanner unit, and then fold up the output bin. Now, you must open the front cover and the engine cover, and then unlock the exhausted toner cartridge by pulling its release lever towards you. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must pull the exhausted toner cartridge out of the Konica Minolta MagiColor 2490MF Color Laser Printer, and then unpack the replacement component. Please do not touch the toner roller of the new toner cartridge. Once the new toner cartridge is unpacked, you must shake it 7-8 times up and down to loosen the toner, and then remove the protective cover from the toner roller of the new component. Next, you must insert the new toner cartridge into the corresponding slot, and then press its release lever towards the main unit. After that, you must close the front cover, and then close the engine cover. Finally, you must close the scanner unit, press the [Stop/Reset] key, and then wait while the Konica Minolta MagiColor 2490MF Color Laser Printer executes the calibration procedure.
