How To Install A Toner Cartridge in the Samsung ML-1430 Laser Printer

Open the front cover.

Shake the cartridge side to side 5 or 6 times.

Find the cartridge slots inside the machine, one on each side.

Grasp the handle at the front of the cartridge and slide it down between the cartridge slots, and push it firmly.

Close the cover securely.

How to Clear a Paper Jam in a Samsung ML-1430 Laser Printer

You may encounter a paper jam when using your Samsung ML-1430 printer. This may be the result of the paper tray being loaded incorrectly or too much paper in the tray. Also the paper may jam if the paper tray is pulled out while you are printing. A paper jam may also result when the top cover has been opened while printing.

When you have a paper jam the ERROR and PAPER lights will light up on the control panel. Find the jammed paper and resume printing. You may have to shut the printer off and turn it back on again to get rid of the error message.

How to Prevent Someone from Printing the Last Page on the Samsung ML-1430 Laser Printer

Users of the Samsung ML-1430 who print sensitive data may want to disable the reprinting feature in the properties dialog box. After turning the feature off the Cancel/ Reprint button will not function anymore. This feature can be disabled by selecting settings in the start menu. Then press the mouse button on the Samsung ML-1430 Series and select Properties. Next using the graphic tab choose OFF from the Reprint drop-down function. Overview:

The ML-1430 offers high quality printing that is perfect for individuals and companies with a tight budget. Its lack of expandable features means that its main use is at home or in small-offices. This printer is great since it offers high quality while being affordable. It offers better output quality and faster print speeds than the ML-1210.

Pros: The Samsung ML-1430 offers an outstanding design which is affordable. Furthermore it is compact which is great for homes and offices that donât have a lot of extra space for a larger printer. There arenât really many printers out there that are easier to use. It is easy to install. People who donât like fiddling with gadgets will be pleased with how easy it is to set it up. Simply use the CD provided which will guide you through every step of the setup. The printer supports Windows 95 and up, Linux, including Red Hat, Caldera Open Linux, Debian and Macintosh OS 8.0 and up. The CD also provides you with a users guide and copy of Adobe Acrobat. This printer is faster than the ML-1210 with rates of 15 pages per minute. It also can print 11 pages per minute when printing text/graphics which makes it faster than many printers that run twice the price. The quality of text is outstanding and crisp and legible. Copies that are only three point fonts are also very clear. In standard mode its 2,500 page cartridge will result in a cost of .03 cents per page which is cheap. Using the Save Toner button on the control panel will result in the toner lasting an additional 1,000 pages, however prints will be lighter.

Cons: Its biggest drawback is that it cannot be ungraded and cables must be purchased separately. The other negative with the ML-1430 is that photos are not as crisp and lack detail.
