When do I Replace a Toner Cartridge in the Ricoh Aficio MP3500 Laser Printer?

The toner cartridge installed in your Ricoh Aficio MP3500 Laser Printer must be replaced, if any of the described below signals/signs appears.

• The [Add Toner] indicator is blinking, the copies/prints are too light, white lines are appearing on each new print/copy/fax, and/or the following warning message ‘’Toner is almost empty’’ is displayed – The installed toner cartridge is nearly empty. You must prepare/purchase a new toner cartridge as soon as possible, in order to be avoided a non-operational mode. Please note that you will be able to print max. 90 more pages after the initial appearance of the ‘’Toner is almost empty’’ warning message on the control LCD. However, the print quality will be drastically decreased.

• The [Add Toner] indicator is on, the machine failed to print received fax documents, and/or the following error message ‘’Replace Toner Bottle’’ is displayed on the control LCD – The installed toner cartridge has been completely exhausted/emptied. All print operations are disabled in this situation, which means that you won’t be able to finish your current task and/or to print/copy new documents/faxes. The only available action is the installation of a new toner cartridge. Please follow the instruction given below to install a new toner cartridge in your Ricoh Aficio MP3500 Laser Printer.

How to Install a Toner Cartridge in the Ricoh Aficio MP3500 Laser Printer

In order to install a new toner cartridge in your Ricoh Aficio MP3500 Laser Printer, you must open the front cover, and then pull the lever of the toner cartridge holder about 90degrees upwards. After that, you must unlock the toner cartridge holder by pushing its lock release lever to the right, and then slowly pull the toner cartridge holder towards you until it stops. In the next step, you must unlock the exhausted toner cartridge from the holder by pushing its front side towards the printer, and then take the exhausted component out of the holder. Now, you must prepare the new toner cartridge by unpacking, and then shaking it 6-7 times horizontally. At this stage of the installation, you must remove the black outer cap of the new toner cartridge, and then insert the new component into the holder. Once the new toner cartridge is inserted, you must push the holder towards the main unit until it locks into place, and then lower its lever. Finally, you must close the front cover of your Ricoh Aficio MP3500 Laser Printer.
