When do I Replace a Toner Cartridge in the NEC IT-2520 Laser Printer?

You must install a new toner cartridge when the [Add Toner] indicator or ‘’Please add toner’’ appears on the LCD screen of your NEC IT-2520 Laser Printer. Please note that a nearly empty, exhausted, or expired toner cartridge can cause various print quality issues. Therefore, you should replace the installed toner cartridge with a new one if print/copy quality is unsatisfactory. The complete replacement procedure is included below.

How to Install a Toner Cartridge in the NEC IT-2520 Laser Printer

To install a new toner cartridge in your NEC IT-2520 Laser Printer, you must open the cover of the toner cartridge housing area. Please note that the toner cartridge housing area is located below the control panel of the main unit. Then, you must pull the releasing lever of the toner cartridge holder towards you. After that, you must pull the toner cartridge holder towards you until the used cartridge is accessible, and then raise the toner cartridge stopper. Now, you must carefully remove the used toner cartridge from the NEC IT-2520 Laser Printer, and then take the new toner cartridge out of transport box. Once the new toner cartridge is unpacked, you must shake it several times up and down to ensure equal toner distribution, and then insert the new component into the holder. Please note that the [UP] mark of the new consumable component must be facing towards the control panel of the laser printer. In the next step, you must remove the protective seal from the new toner cartridge, and then return the toner cartridge holder to its original position. Please make sure that you have inserted the toner cartridge holder firmly (it will click into place). Finally, you must close the cover of the toner cartridge housing area, and then test your NEC IT-2520 Laser Printer. If print quality is poor after the toner cartridge replacement, you must press [Utility] – [User Management] – [Toner Replenishment].

The NEC IT-2520 makes document processing easier and more user friendly. It comes with many sophisticated features; however it is easy to use. The IT-2520 is an all in one digital copier, fax, scanner, and printer that delivers the entire package. The IT2520 allows you to feed a document through just once to perform a multiplicity of convenient processing and finishing tasks. Finally the NEC IT-2520 delivers a host of high-quality document finishers, accessories and consumables.

Pros:

The NEC IT-2520 offers an interactive touch panel and display that is easy to use and operate. It also offers a Multi-Purpose Tray that is easy to load and holds up to 150 sheets of paper. The IT-2520 can handle a variety of paper sizes such as ledger paper, card stock, labels, and envelopes. Plus you get a Universal Paper Cassettes that can be adjusted for all standard paper up to ledger size.

Production is never an issue when owning the NEC IT-2520. It can produce up to 25 copies per minute with the first copy out in 5.8 seconds. There is also an 80 page document duplex scan that can scan at up to 0.55 seconds per page. Standard paper capacity is 1,250 sheets which can be expanded to 3,800 sheets. Finally it comes with a variety of finishing features such as standard rotation sort, multi-stapling, multi-hole punch, saddle stitch, booklet creation, and mail bin.

Cons:

Compared to printers on the market today the NEC IT-2520 falls behind the competition. It only offers resolutions of 600 X 600 dpi. Most multifunctional devices on the market offer 1200 X 1200 dpi or better.
The NEX IT-2520 also lacks wireless capabilities. As a result when using it you need a lot of messy wires around the house.
