OFFICEJET PRO K850 CYAN PRINTHEAD

You can check the printhead health from the HP Toolbox or the Embedded Web Server. You should replace the installed printheads in the following circumstances:

Printed characters are incomplete; dots or lines are missing from printouts – You should try to solve the problem by cleaning and aligning the installed printheads. Please note that all printer maintenance tasks (including the alignment and the cleaning of the printheads) can be selected from the HP Toolbox, HP Printer Utility, Printer Driver, or the Embedded Web server. Please replace the installed printheads if print quality does not improve.

The [Power] LED is on, and the [Printhead] LED and one or more [Color] indicators blink – The HP OfficeJet Pro K850 Color Printer has detected a hardware error. You must make sure that the indicated printhead is installed correctly, and then execute the printhead maintenance procedures (cleaning and alignment). Please replace the specified printhead if the problem persists.

The [Power] LED, the [Printhead] LED, and one or more [Color] indicators are on – The HP OfficeJet Pro K850 Color Printer does not detect the specified printhead. Please make sure that the printhead is installed correctly, and then test the inkjet printer. You must replace the specified printhead if the problem persists.

In the first step of the replacement procedure, you must open the top cover of your HP OfficeJet Pro K850 Color Printer, and then open the printhead latch. After that, you must remove the exhausted printhead by pulling its handle upwards, and then take the new printhead out of the protective packaging. Now, you must remove the protective tape from the contact area of the new printhead, and then insert the new component into the corresponding color-coded (currently empty) slot. In the next step, you must press the printhead latch down until it is properly engaged. Finally, you must close the top cover, and then wait while the printer initializes the printheads and prints alignment pages (about 8 minutes).
