Printer Ribbon is often used in dot-matrix, thermal imaging & impact printers, as well as fax machines.

How to Install a Ribbon Cartridge in the OkiData MicroLine 182 Impact Printer

To install a new ribbon cartridge in your OkiData MicroLine 182 Impact Printer, you must unplug the machine, and then remove the access cover by pulling its rear end gently towards you. After that, you must make sure that the printhead is away from the rollers of the column indicator bar, and then remove the exhausted ribbon cartridge from the impact printer. Now, you must unpack the new ribbon cartridge, and then place it on the ribbon cartridge holder. Please make sure that the tabs on both sides of the new ribbon cartridge align with the inserts on the printhead plate. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must press the new ribbon cartridge down until it snaps into place, and then use the blue lever located to the left of the ribbon cartridge to adjust the printhead gap. Finally, you must insert the three tabs of the access cover into the holes on the top side of the OkiData MicroLine 182 Impact Printer, and then lower the access cover until it snaps into place.
