Pros:

DP-3010 outranks many multifunction devices with its impressive copy speed that fits any establishments of rush copy needs. It delivers at fast 30 CPM (copies per minute) with a first copy out time at approximately 4.5 seconds (letter size). This delivery speed is associated with a considerable warm-up time at around 30 seconds. Image quality is as impressive thanks to the standard 600 x 600 DPI resolution with 256 gray scale steps. Exposure controller can be set to text, photo or text-photo mode that delivers clear, sharp and blur-free images of crisp detail. It takes up a maximum copy size that of a ledger and minimum copy size that of an invoice with multiple copying enabled of up to 999 copies that then automatically resets to 1. For added flexibility, zooming can be done within 25% to 400% in increments of 1%.

For printing needs of sizes from invoice to ledger, DP-3010 handles them excellently at an impressive printing speed of up to 30 PPM (pages per minute). It leverages network printing capability as it can be connected to a LAN right out of the box through the built-in 10Base-T/100Base-TX Ethernet interface or for printing right at your PC, it as well offers high speed USB 1.1 interface. The image enhancement technology in Panasonic DP-3010 of 1200 x 600 DPI and 600 x 600 DPI resolutions justifies its superb printouts of crisp details and smooth gradation. It has a wide emulation and PDL support and has drivers for various platforms including Windows and Macintosh.

The network scanning capability offer high speed digitization of paper documents that can be easily sent to a client PC on the LAN for a more efficient way of sharing documents without printing a copy of it. Effective scanning width is at ledger size but this should not bother you about quality scans from other sizes as it presents four different resolutions namely the standard mode at 203 DPI x 98 LPI, fine mode 203 DPI x 196 LPI, super fine mode at 406 DPI x 391 LPI and the 600 DPI mode at 600 x 600 DPI. It has a standard memory which can hold up to 120 pages or correspondingly equal to 2 MB storage.

A graphical solution for easy access to the functions of DP-3010 is aided by the touch-sensitive half-VGA LCD display (640 x 240 pixels). Cons:

DP-3010 is ridiculously large at dimensions of 23.6” x 27.8” x 33.8” (W x D x H) making it considerably bulky and mobility is nearly impossible with its weight at 82 kg. Operating system compatibility is also a problem as by default, it is incompatible to newer operating systems such as Windows Vista and 7 since its compatibility are on operating systems prior to its release and drivers (if available) is needed to be downloaded or supplied to be compatible with this newer operating systems.
