This Toner Cartridge prints 7000 pages with an average 5% page coverage. The amount of pages can vary depending upon the amount of ink printed onto each page. (5% page coverage is a standard Ricoh specification)

When do I Replace a Toner Cartridge in the Ricoh Aficio 1515 Laser Printer?

You must install a new toner cartridge in your Ricoh Aficio 1515 Laser Printer, when any of the described signals and warning messages appears.

• The [Add Toner] indicator is blinking and/or the ‘’Toner is almost empty <> Add toner’’ warning message is displayed on the control LCD – You should install a new toner cartridge, because the installed cartridge is near the end of its useful life. Otherwise, the print quality will be gradually decreasing, and all print operations will be disabled very soon. Please note that the [Add Toner] indicator is located between the [Error] and the [Paper] indicators. The [Add Toner] indicator illustrates six black dots in pyramidal order with an arrow pointing towards the dots.

• The [Add Toner] indicator is ON and/or the ‘’Add toner <> Out of toner. Follow instructions inside and replace toner.’’ error message is displayed on the control LCD – Your printer is in a non-operational mode/hard stop, caused by a completely exhausted/emptied toner cartridge. The only available action is the installation of a new toner cartridge.

How to Install a Toner Cartridge in the Ricoh Aficio 1515 Laser Printer

You must start the replacement procedure by opening the front cover of your Ricoh Aficio 1515 Laser Printer. Then, you must lift the green lever of the toner cartridge holder to a horizontal position. After that, you must push the green lever towards the main unit, and then carefully pull the toner cartridge holder towards you until it stops. Now, you must push the exhausted toner cartridge towards the main unit until its front side is raised, and then pull the exhausted cartridge out of the holder. At this phase of the replacement procedure, you must unpack the new toner cartridge, and then loosen and evenly distribute the toner by shaking the new cartridge at least 10 times horizontally. In the next step, you must remove the outer black cap of the new toner cartridge, and then insert the prepared new component into the toner cartridge holder. Once the new toner cartridge is inserted, you must push the toner cartridge holder into the slot until its green lever clicks. Finally, you must fold down the green lever of the toner cartridge holder, and then close the front cover of your Ricoh Aficio 1515 Laser Printer.

These devices combine excellent output quality, high productivity and standard duplexing. On top of that output quality is outstanding. Text documents are easy to read and 4 point fonts. Color images are vivid and bright when printing with the Ricoh Aficio 1515.

Pros:

The Ricoh Aficio 1515 is ready to go at any time. Just give it 15 seconds to warm up and it will be ready to produce 99 copies non-stop. When printing it can produce 15 pages per minute.

Duplexing features are available that will cut down on the amount of paper used in your office. Plus the Ricoh Aficio 1515 will allow you to resize documents between 50% and 200%.

When faxing you get transmission speeds of three seconds. Plus 150 speed dials can be programmed so you can transmit documents by simply touching a button. It comes with 2MB of compression memory that allows users to store 160 pages.

Cons:

This all-in-one machine is outstanding. There aren’t any drawbacks to owning it. Of course you will have the occasional paper jam, but there isn’t a printer that doesn’t jam sometimes.
