When do I Replace a Drum unit in the Savin 4022 Black & White Multifunction Printer?

Your Savin 4022 Black & White Multifunction Printer is equipped with a built-in system, which is constantly monitoring the drum unit status. When the installed drum unit is near the end of its useful life, the monitoring system will display the following message ‘’Replace photoconductor unit’’. Once the above warning message appears, you must replace the exhausted drum unit with a new one. Otherwise, the print quality will be drastically decreased, and you will experience a variety of print quality problems, such as constantly reappearing background fogging, blurred images, blank copies, solid copies, multiple white bandings, or various black bandings on the printed document.

How to Install a Drum Unit in the Savin 4022 Black & White Multifunction Printer

Initially, you must open the right cover of your Savin 4022 Black & White Multifunction Printer by pulling up its lock release lever. Then, you must open the front cover and locate the exhausted drum unit (in the right of the toner cartridge). Now, you must pull the exhausted drum unit out of the printer in direction straight towards you, while pressing down its lock release button. Once the exhausted drum unit is out of the printer, you must unpack the new one and align it with the drum unit`s slot with the drum`s handle facing upwards. After that, you must slide the new drum unit into the slot until it clicks into place, and then remove the red sheet and the two protective tapes from the drum unit. Finally, you must close the right cover and the front cover of your Savin 4022 Black & White Multifunction Printer. Please note, you must avoid opening the front cover or turning off the printer for at least 1-2 minutes after the drum replacement procedure, because the printer will be in automatic initialization mode.

How to Install a Toner Cartridge in the Savin 4022 Black & White Multifunction Printer

You must start the toner cartridge replacement procedure in your Savin 4022 Black & White Multifunction Printer by opening the front cover. Then, you must raise the green holder lever and push it in, in order to pull out the toner holder afterwards. Now, you must gently push the exhausted toner cartridge back and slowly pull it out of the printer. Please note, you must avoid shaking the exhausted toner cartridge, because it may leak. After that, you must prepare the new toner cartridge by unpacking and shaking it 7-8 times horizontally. In the next step of the toner cartridge replacement procedure, you must remove the black protective cap and insert the new toner cartridge into the toner cartridge holder. Once the new toner cartridge is in place, you must push the green lever back into the printer until it clicks, and then push it down to locked position. Finally, you can close the front cover and test your Savin 4022 Black & White Multifunction Printer.
