You should replace the toner cartridge installed in your Samsung SCX-5315F Multifunction Laser Printer in the following circumstances:

The error message [INVALID CARTRIDGE] is displayed – The installed toner cartridge is not intended for use in the Samsung SCX-5315F Multifunction Laser Printer. You must replace the installed toner cartridge with a new, compatible one.

The status message [TONER EMPTY] is displayed – The installed toner cartridge is empty. All print/copy operations are disabled in this situation. You must install a new toner cartridge to resume printing/copying.

The status message [TONER LOW] is displayed – The installed toner cartridge is near the end of its useful life. You should install a new toner cartridge soon.

How to Install a Toner Cartridge in the Samsung SCX-5315F Multifunction Laser Printer

You must open the side cover by pulling the release lever away from the main unit, and then open the front cover of your Samsung SCX-5315F Multifunction Laser Printer. After that, you must release the used toner cartridge by turning its locking lever upwards, and then remove the used toner cartridge by pulling it slowly out of the laser printer. Please shake the new toner cartridge at least 10 times horizontally in order to avoid print quality problems caused by uneven toner distribution. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must insert the new toner cartridge into the slot, and then turn the locking lever down as far as it will go. Once the new toner cartridge is installed, you must close the front cover, and then close the side cover. Finally, you must wait until the message [NEW TONER? 1. YES 2. NO] appears, and then select [1. YES] by pressing [1].
