PHASER 6120 DRUM

The installed drum is a very important consumable component. This component transfers toner from the installed toner cartridge as an image onto the loaded media, and its technical condition is crucial for the overall print-quality. You should install a new drum if you are sure that all installed toner cartridges are in a good condition, but one or several of the listed print-quality issues and warning messages appear(s).

‘’IMAGING UNIT LOW’’ is displayed – You should purchase a new drum because the installed one is near the end of its useful life. Please install the new drum when print quality becomes unacceptable.

‘’REPLACE IMAGING UNIT’’ – The components of the installed drum are at the end of their useful life. A new drum must be installed.

‘’IMAGING UNIT MISSING’’ – The Xerox Phaser 6120 Color Laser Printer does not detect an installed drum. You should try to resolve the problem by reinstalling the drum correctly. Please install a new drum if the problem persists.

You must start the replacement procedure by opening the top cover of your Xerox Phaser 6120 Color Laser Printer, taking care not to touch the transfer belt that is located on the inside of the top cover. Then, you must remove the used drum by pulling it carefully upwards. After that, you must wipe the laser lens with a dry, lint-free cloth, and then unpack the new drum, but please avoid touching its photoconductive roller. Now, you must insert the new drum firmly into the laser printer, and then finalize the replacement procedure by closing the top cover of your Xerox Phaser 6120 Color Laser Printer.
