FT-3713 EXPOSURE LAMP

The exposure lamp installed in your Ricoh FT-3713 Laser Copier applies high intensity light to the document (original) for exposure. The installed exposure lamp should be inspected once every 80,000 prints. Please note that the deterioration of the exposure lamp (insufficient brightness/light intensity) affects the quality of the copy image. You should replace the installed exposure lamp in the following circumstances:

The service call code [11] is displayed

The service call code [12] is displayed

The exposure lamp light intensity is too weak due to deterioration

In the initial step of the replacement procedure, you must turn off the main switch, and then unplug the power cord of your Ricoh FT-3713 Laser Copier. Next, you must open the scanner unit, and then remove the two shoulder screws from the left scale. After that, you must remove the left scale, and then slightly lift the left edge of the exposure glass. Now, you must remove the exposure glass by sliding its right edge out from under the right glass holder, and then move the first scanner to the cutout position. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must move the first scanner toward the front side of your Ricoh FT-3713 Laser Copier, and then place a strip of paper around the exposure lamp. At this stage, you must loosen the screw that fixes the rear side of the exposure lamp to the rear lamp terminal, and then pull the rear side of the exhausted exposure lamp off the rear lamp terminal. After that, you must slide the exhausted exposure lamp toward the front side of the copier, and then remove it. Please use a strip of paper to hold the new exposure lamp. Finally, you must install the new exposure lamp by following the current procedure in reverse order, and then test your Ricoh FT-3713 Laser Copier.
