BROTHER INTELLIFAX 4750E DRUM

The drum unit installed in your Brother IntelliFax 4750E must be replace before the complete exhaustion of its print resource, because the work condition of this consumable component is directly defining the overall print quality results. Herein, the built-in system of your printer is constantly monitoring the status of the installed drum unit, and when it detects that the drum is near the end of its useful life, you will see the following warning message/advance notification ''CHANGE DRUM SOON'' displayed on the control LCD. You must install a new drum unit soon after the initial appearance of the warning message. Otherwise, the print quality will be drastically decreased, and a variety of print quality issues will inevitably appear on each newly printed document very soon. The installation of a new drum unit in your Brother IntelliFax 4750E includes the execution of a very simple procedure, which is included below. Please note that no special tools or technical skills are required for the successful installation of a new drum unit.

Important: Some internal printer's components will be still very hot, if you have recently printed new documents.

Initially, you must gain access to the exhausted consumable component by opening the front cover of your Brother IntelliFax 4750E. Then, you must remove the exhausted drum unit from the printer by carefully pulling it towards you. Once the exhausted drum unit is out of the printer, you must detach the toner cartridge by pressing the colored lock release lever and by pulling the cartridge out of the exhausted component. After that, you must unpack the new drum unit, but please avoid touching its photoconductive drum, and then insert the toner cartridge into the new drum unit until you hear a click. Now, you must install the new drum unit into the printer, and then reset the drum's counter.

1. Locate and press the [Clear] button.
2. Wait for the following message ''REPLACE DRUM? <> 1.YES 2.NO'' to be displayed on the control LCD.
3. Press [1].

Finally, you must close the front cover and test your Brother IntelliFax 4750E.
