E-STUDIO 2500C MAGENTA DEVELOPER

The replacement procedure of your 2500c developer material requires the disassembly of three other printer components: The Process Unit, The Process Cover, and The Developer Unit. Below, you can find detailed instructions about each component disassembly (in the exact execution order), and finally, the developer material replacement procedure.

Initially, you must open the printer`s front cover, remove the first Process unit` screw, and turn the TBU`s (Transfer Belt Unit) lifting lever counterclockwise for 90 degrees (1/4 revolution).  Now, you must hold the process unit by its end, and then pull it towards you, while pushing the lock handle (located on the top of the process unit) down. After that, you must detach all four (Y; M; C; K) process units. You must protect the drum from direct sunlight and any contacts with your hands/other objects, while removing the process unit.

Initially, you must take off the main charger cleaner handle and turn the process unit to its place. Now, you must detach both EPU ``Y`` and EPU ``K`` connectors, and one connector from each EPU ``M`` and EPU ``C``. Remember to protect the drum and all harnesses, while detaching the connectors. After that, you must turn the process unit to place and remove the two screws. Finally, you can release the latch and remove the process cover.

After the Process cover removal, you must remove both screws from the front retainer, but be careful not lose its bearing. Now, you can release the rear developer`s latch, in order to open the cleaning unit. Then, you must slide the cleaning unit to the rear side of the developer unit, so you will be able to separate them. During the developer unit disassembly, you must avoid touching the drum or exposing it to direct sunlight.

After the successful disassembly of all three components described above, you can continue with the developer material replacement. Initially, you must lift the front latch from the upper cover of the developer unit, and then release it by slightly pushing the toner supply section. Next for removal is the upper latch, which you could easily remove with the same technique, along with the usage of a flat screwdriver to separate the latch from the frame. You could also use the above instructions, while removing the last two latches from the developer unit. When all latches are removed, you will be able to take off the upper cover from the developer unit and proceed with a discharge of the old developer material. Now you must unpack the new developer material bottle, then shake it, and attach the included nozzle. Locate the mixer section of the developer unit and pour in the new developer material. Next, you must rotate the developer`s knob in clockwise direction, until the developer material is evenly distributed to the sleeve. After that, you must lift the rear developer`s side, so the developer material is moved to the opposite side of the mixer section. At this point, you must add developer material under the developer sleeve again, and then pour all remaining developer material evenly through the mixer section. Now, you must return the upper cover on the developer unit and lock all latches. Finally, you must install all previously removed components (The Process Unit, The Process Cover, and The Developer Unit) and test your Toshiba e-Studio 2500c Laser Printer.
