When do I Replace a Toner Cartridge in the Gestetner 2212 Laser Copier?

How to Install a Toner Cartridge in the Gestetner 2212 Laser Copier

To install a new toner cartridge in your Gestetner 2212 Laser Copier, you must open the front cover, and then raise the green handle of the toner cartridge holder. Next, you must unlock the toner cartridge holder by pressing the green release lever down, and then pull the holder towards you as far as it will go. After that, you must push the used toner cartridge towards the main unit, and then pull it out of the holder. Now, you must shake the new toner cartridge at least ten times horizontally to distribute the toner evenly inside the cartridge, and then remove the black cap from the new component. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must insert the new toner cartridge into the holder, and then pull it slightly towards you to lock it into place. Once the new toner cartridge is inserted, you must push the holder towards the machine until you hear a click, and then finalize the replacement procedure by closing the front cover of your Gestetner 2212 Laser Copier.

How to Install a Fuser Assembly Unit in the Gestetner 2212 Laser Copier

In the first step of the replacement procedure, you must switch the Gestetner 2212 Laser Copier off, unplug the power cord, and then wait 10-15 minutes to allow the installed fuser assembly unit to cool. After that, you must detach the duplex unit from the copier, and then open the right cover. The Gestetner 2212 offers quality printing, scanning, and copying in a single machine. This unit is easy to operate. Best of all it won’t cost you a lot to operate either.

Pros:

Setting up the Gestetner 2212 is easy. Simply connect the USB cable to the printer and the computer, plug it in, and run the set up disk and it will be ready to go. Toner cartridges yield around 11,000 prints. It comes with a starter cartridge which yields fewer prints than standard cartridges.

This unit is heavy, weighing in at over 100 pounds. The Gestetner 2212 is well built and will last for a long time. This printer warms up in no time. It requires only 15 seconds to warm up and 5 seconds to print the first page. Printing speeds are above average.

The Gestetner 2212 offers high quality resolutions of 600 X 600 dpi. Graphic quality is not the best. It comes with a duplexer that allows you to print two sided copies. However it lacks networking capabilities. The Gestetner 2212 offers high quality text printing at low prices. This will allow your office to reduce overall printing costs.

Cons:

The Gestetner 2212 lacks the finishing features that will save you time. It doesn’t come with booklet making or automatic sorting.
