HP COLOR LASERJET 1500L BLACK TONER CARTRIDGE

The HP Color LaserJet 1500L Printer is equipped with an advanced control panel, which features ‘’Supplies Status’’ indicators. There is a distinct status indicator for each of the installed toner cartridges. These indicators will be lit in a certain light pattern, when a toner cartridge related abnormality occurs. All of these light patterns are listed and described below.

• The Black supplies status indicator is on – The installed Black toner cartridge is nearly empty. You should prepare/purchase a new Black toner cartridge soon after the initial appearance of the light pattern.

• The Cyan supplies status indicator is on – The installed Cyan toner cartridge is nearly empty. You should prepare/purchase a new Cyan toner cartridge soon after the initial appearance of the light pattern.

• The Magenta supplies status indicator is on – The installed Magenta toner cartridge is nearly empty. You should prepare/purchase a new Magenta toner cartridge soon after the initial appearance of the light pattern.

• The Yellow supplies status indicator is on – The installed Yellow toner cartridge is nearly empty. You should prepare/purchase a new Yellow toner cartridge soon after the initial appearance of the light pattern.

• The Black supplies status indicator is blinking – The Black toner cartridge is missing or empty. You must make sure that all toner cartridges are firmly inserted into the corresponding slots. A new Black toner cartridge must be installed, if the error message persists.

• The Cyan supplies status indicator is blinking – The Cyan toner cartridge is missing or empty. You must make sure that all toner cartridges are firmly inserted into the corresponding slots. A new Cyan toner cartridge must be installed, if the error message persists.

• The Magenta supplies status indicator is blinking – The Magenta toner cartridge is missing or empty. You must make sure that all toner cartridges are firmly inserted into the corresponding slots. A new Magenta toner cartridge must be installed, if the error message persists.

• The Yellow supplies status indicator is blinking – The Yellow toner cartridge is missing or empty. You must make sure that all toner cartridges are firmly inserted into the corresponding slots. A new Yellow toner cartridge must be installed, if the error message persists.

• The Black supplies status indicator is blinking, and the [Attention] LED is on – This light pattern indicates that the installed Black toner cartridge is a non-HP (non-OEM) product. You should press the [Cancel Job] button to continue printing. No further actions are required.

• The Cyan supplies status indicator is blinking, and the [Attention] LED is on – This light pattern indicates that the installed Cyan toner cartridge is a non-HP (non-OEM) product. You should press the [Cancel Job] button to continue printing. No further actions are required.

• The Magenta supplies status indicator is blinking, and the [Attention] LED is on – This light pattern indicates that the installed Magenta toner cartridge is a non-HP (non-OEM) product. You should press the [Cancel Job] button to continue printing. No further actions are required.

• The Yellow supplies status indicator is blinking, and the [Attention] LED is on – This light pattern indicates that the installed Yellow toner cartridge is a non-HP (non-OEM) product. You should press the [Cancel Job] button to continue printing. No further actions are required.

Please note that you can check the status of all installed toner cartridges at any time by printing a supplies status page from the control panel or from the ‘’HP Toolbox’’.
In some cases, the installed toner cartridges must be replaced even if there are no indications on the control panel. Please install a new toner cartridge set, if any of the listed print quality issues is reappearing on the printed documents.

• Light prints or fade
• Vertical lines
• Gray background
• Missing or incorrect color/colors
• Inconsistent colors
• Blank pages

You should always keep a new set of toner cartridges for your HP Color LaserJet 1500L Printer in stock, in order to avoid interruptions of your work. Please store all consumables in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines.

Initially, you must press the [Rotate Carousel] button until the empty toner cartridge is moved to a ‘’replacement’’ position. Then, you must remove the empty toner cartridge from the main unit by carefully pulling it out while squeezing its blue release levers. After that, you must take the new toner cartridge of the corresponding color out of the transport box, and then remove the orange protective cover. Please avoid touching the surface of the roller. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must place the new toner cartridge on a flat surface, and then remove the protective sealing tape from the new component. Once you have removed the protective sealing tape, you must insert the new toner cartridge into the slot while squeezing its blue release levers, but please make sure that the blue arrows on the sides of the new component are aligned with the blue arrows inside the laser printer. Finally, you must close the top cover of your HP Color LaserJet 1500L Printer, and then press the [GO] button. Please note that all control panel indicators will be flashing in sequence for approx. 2 minutes, once you have pressed the [GO] button. You can start using your laser printer when the green [READY] light turns on.
