This toner cartridge prints 6000 pages with average 5% coverage (Nearly all Printer manufacturers base their ink/toner cartridge yields on 5% page coverage).

This product comes with a 6 month Warranty against any defects (including free replacement). We stand behind our products 100%, as these are not manufactured by IBM.

Why toner? Why not call it ink? Regular ink dries quickly, which is why cartridges for inkjet printers do not last long. Laser Printers use toner, which is ink in the form of powder. A sealed toner cartridge can be stored for 2+ years prior to usage.

When do I Replace a Toner Cartridge in the IBM InfoPrint 1512 Laser Printer?

You can determine whether the installed toner cartridge needs to be replaced by printing a quality test page. Please note that the quality test page contains printer information, cartridge information, current margin settings, and a graphic to use to evaluate the print quality. You should replace the installed toner cartridge if print quality is unsatisfactory, or when any of the listed indications appears.

The IBM InfoPrint 1512 Laser Printer stops the current print job and sounds three quick beeps – The installed toner cartridge has been exhausted. You must install a new toner cartridge.

[Change Cartridge <> Invalid Refill] is displayed – The IBM InfoPrint 1512 Laser Printer has detected an incompatible refilled cartridge. You must remove the incompatible cartridge, and then install a new, compatible OEM or non-OEM cartridge.

The upper front door is closed but the following error message [Close Door] is displayed on the control panel LCD – You should reinstall the toner cartridge, close the upper front door firmly, and then test the laser printer. Please install a new toner cartridge if the problem persists.

[Toner Low] – The installed toner cartridge is low on toner. You should install a new toner cartridge.

[31 Missing or Defective Cart.] – The IBM InfoPrint 1512 Laser Printer does not detect the toner cartridge. You should try to solve the problem by reinstalling the toner cartridge. Please replace the installed toner cartridge if the problem persists.

[32 Unsupported Print Cartridge] – The installed toner cartridge is not intended for use in your IBM InfoPrint 1512 Laser Printer. Please install a new, compatible toner cartridge.

[42 Cartridge Region Mismatch] – You must replace the installed toner cartridge with a new one made for your printer region.

How to Install a Toner Cartridge in the IBM InfoPrint 1512 Laser Printer

You must press the button on the left side of the IBM InfoPrint 1512 Laser Printer, and then open the front cover. Next, you must unlock the used toner cartridge by pressing its lock release button, and then pull the exhausted component out of the laser printer. After that, you must take the new toner cartridge out of the protective packaging, and then shake it in all directions to ensure equal toner distribution. Now, you must slide the new toner cartridge along the guides inside the printer until it clicks into place, and then finalize the replacement procedure by closing the front cover.

Pros:

This multifunction device is well designed and won’t take up a lot of space in your office. Its dimensions are 9.8 inches by 15.6 inches by 13.9 inches, and weighs only 22 pounds.

The cost of replacing toners is low with the IBM 1512. They have a standard paper capacity of 6,000 pages, which makes the cost per page very low. Print quality is good. Text documents are crisp and clear and are perfect for external business transactions.
