''Ready to copy. Add Toner'' – This is a warning message, which indicates that the installed toner cartridge is nearly empty. You should install a new toner cartridge soon after the initial appearance of this message, in order to be avoided a non-operational mode, caused by a completely exhausted toner cartridge. Please note that all ''multiple-print'' operations will be suspended, which means that you will be able to print/copy only one page at a time.

''Add toner to resume copying'' – This is an error message, which indicates a non-operational mode caused by a completely exhausted toner cartridge. The only available action, in order to be restored the normal functionality of your KYOCERA MITA KM-4030, is the installation of a new toner cartridge.

Please note that you must install a new waste toner container, when replacing an exhausted toner cartridge in your laser printer. It is always better, if you keep a spare toner cartridge and a waste toner container for your KYOCERA MITA KM-4030 in stock, but please remember to store all consumable components in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. The complete replacement procedure is included below.

You must start the replacement procedure by opening the front cover of your KYOCERA MITA KM-4030 laser printer. Then, you must unlock the exhausted toner cartridge by pushing its lock release lever to ''upper''/''unlocked'' position. After that, you must pull the exhausted toner cartridge towards you until its handle is accessible, and then remove the exhausted consumable component by pulling it out of the slot while pushing the lock release lever upwards. Cleaning of the KYOCERA MITA KM-4030 laser printer

1. Take the grid cleaner, and remove its cap.
2. Attach the grid cleaner to the slot, which is located next to the electrostatic section.
3. Move the electrostatic section several times along the cleaning channel.
4. Return the grid cleaner and the electrostatic section to their original positions.
5. Install the new waste toner container into the main unit.
6. Pull the cleaning shaft out of its slot, and then slide it several times in and out.
7. Return the cleaning shaft to its original position (back in).
8. Take the cleaning brush out of its compartment, and then open the left cover.
9. Use the cleaning brush to clean the separator.
10. Insert the cleaning brush back to its original position.

Finally, you must close the left cover, and then the front cover of your KYOCERA MITA KM-4030 laser printer.
