This Drum is good for printing 20000 pages, on average. Average page coverage is 5% of toner per page (compared to white space on the paper), which is the standard Brother specification for this drum, and a standard measuring term for the consumer printing industry.

This product comes with a 6 month Warranty against any defects (including free replacement). We stand behind our products 100%, as these are not manufactured by Brother.

When to Replace the Drum in a Brother MFC-8890DW Printer

Brother MFC-8890DW printer has a way to inform you when to replace its Drum unit. LCD screen will show message that means that the Drum unit is almost at its life end. Try cleaning corona because it may be dirty. If you clean the corona and still have < REPLACE PARTS DRUM > message on the LCD screen you have to replace drum unit with new.
NOTE: When you change Drum unit do it with caution because it may be fill with toner powder. If any powder gets spilled on your hands or clothes wash or wipe it as soon as you can.

How to Install a Drum in the Brother MFC-8890DW Printer

Turn ON the machine. Uninstall drum and cartridge assembly from Brother MFC-8890DW printer.

Push green lock on right side of the assembly to set free drum unit from toner cartridge.

Dispose of old drum unit by local regulations and laws.

Take out new drum unit. Assemble toner cartridge with new drum unit by slightly placing it inside.

Clean top corona with green tab by pushing from side to side. Retrieve green tab to its first position.

Install back in Brother MFC-8890DW printer the drum and cartridge assembly. Do not close front door yet.

Press message, on LCD screen will appear message. Confirm that message if you are installing new drum unit.
