C5300N BLACK TONER CARTRIDGE

The OkiData C5300n Color Laser Printer monitors the condition of the installed consumables. The machine will display an appropriate message on the LCD screen if an installed consumable needs replacing. The messages indicating that an installed toner cartridge needs replacing are listed below.

You must power the OkiData C5300n Color Laser Printer off, and then press the release button of the top cover. Next, you must open the top cover, and then pull the release lever of the exhausted toner cartridge all the way forward. After that, you must pull the right end of the exhausted toner cartridge up, and then pull the cartridge to the right to remove it. Now, you must take the new toner cartridge out of the plastic bag, and then shake it 7-8 times horizontally to redistribute the toner. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must remove the adhesive tape from the bottom of the new toner cartridge, and then insert the left end of the cartridge against the spring-loaded end of the slot. After that, you must push the right end of the new toner cartridge down until it is firmly inserted, and then turn the release lever of the new component towards the rear side of the OkiData C5300n Color Laser Printer. Finally, you must close the top cover, and then switch the printer back on.

The transfer belt is a consumable component, which lasts approx. 50,000 prints. You can check the life counter of the installed transfer belt from the Usage Menu. The OkiData C5300n Color Laser Printer will display one of the listed messages when the installed transfer belt reaches end of life.

You should replace the installed transfer belt when any of the listed messages appears.

In the first step of the replacement procedure, you must open the top cover of the printer, and then remove all drum unit and toner cartridge assemblies from the main compartment. Please avoid touching the fusing area. After that, you must cover the drum unit and toner cartridge assemblies with dark paper or cloth, and then turn the locks of the exhausted transfer belt counterclockwise. Now, you must grasp the plastic handle and pull the exhausted transfer belt out of the OkiData C5300n Color Laser Printer. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must unpack the new transfer belt, and then insert it into the main unit. Once the new transfer belt is inserted, you must secure it into place by turning the two locks clockwise, and then reinstall the drum unit and toner cartridge assemblies into the corresponding slots. Finally, you must close the top cover of the laser printer.

Initially, you must switch the OkiData C5300n Color Laser Printer off, and then unplug the power cord. Next, you must open the top cover, and then open the feeder unit. After that, you must detach the right side cover by loosening its fixing screw, and then detach the fan by removing the connector and disengaging the two hooks. Now, you must detach the plate-shield assembly by removing the three screws, and then unplug the connector from the control panel assembly. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must remove the four screws that secure the control panel assembly to the main frame, and then remove the control panel assembly. Finally, you must unpack the new control panel assembly, and then install it by executing the current procedure in reverse order.

Your OkiData C5300n Color Laser Printer is equipped with four LED head units. Deterioration of the LED head units causes various print quality problems. All print quality problems related to the condition of the installed LED head units are listed below. Please note that you can solve some print quality problems by cleaning the LED head units and/or replacing the toner cartridges.
