C6050 YELLOW DRUM

The OkiData C6050 Color Laser Printer is equipped with four drum units. A new drum unit lasts approx. 20,000 pages (at three prints per job). You can extend the useful life of the installed drum units by lowering the print resolution. Please be aware that the use of heavily laid or texture paper seriously affects the life of the installed drum units. You can check the percentage of remaining printing resource of the installed drum units from the [Usage] menu. You should replace the installed drum units in the following circumstances:

The message [ORDER DRUM <Color>] is displayed – The indicated drum unit is nearing the end of its useful life and will have to be replaced soon. For that reason, you should purchase a new <Color> drum unit.

The message [REPLACE <Color> DRUM <> DRUM LIFE] or [DRUM <Color> LIFE] is displayed – The OkiData C6050 Color Laser Printer has detected that the printing resource of the indicated drum unit has been exhausted. Please replace the specified drum unit.

In the initial step of the replacement procedure, you must open the top cover of your OkiData C6050 Color Laser Printer, and then pull the exhausted drum unit along with the installed toner cartridge out of the compartment. Please avoid touching the fuser assembly unit. Please note that you must install a new toner cartridge when replacing any of the installed drum units. Next, you must take the new drum unit out of the protective bag, and then remove the tape and the paper sheet from the new component. After that, you must remove the clear plastic film and the silica gel pack from the new drum unit. Now, you must insert the new drum unit into the corresponding slot, and then remove the orange plastic seal from the top side of the new component. Once the new drum unit is installed, you must unpack a new toner cartridge for the corresponding color, and then install it into the new drum unit. In the concluding step of the replacement procedure, you must wipe the LED lens with the provided LED lens cleaner, and then close the top cover of the OkiData C6050 Color Laser Printer.
