RICOH AFICIO SP C410DN 3-COLOR DRUM VALUE PACK

Your Ricoh Aficio SP-C410DN Laser Printer is equipped with four drum units: Black, Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow. The lifespan of these consumable components is approx. 50000 pages/prints. However, this number will vary because the lifespan of each drum unit depends upon various factors, such as the average percentage of page coverage, the average pages per print task, the chosen print settings, etc… Because of that, the installed drum units are constantly monitored by the sophisticated built-in system of your color laser printer. The system will display one of the described below messages when a drum unit related abnormality is detected.

‘’Replace PCU: Black’’ – The installed Black drum unit has been exhausted. You must install a new Black drum unit immediately after the appearance of this warning message, in order to be avoided print quality problems.

‘’Replace PCU: Color’’ – The installed Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow drum units are at the end of their useful life. You must install a new set of color drum units immediately after the appearance of the warning message, in order to be avoided print quality problems.

It is always better, if you keep a spare set of new drum units for your Ricoh Aficio SP-C410DN Laser Printer in stock, but please remember to store all consumable components in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and recommendations. The complete replacement procedure is included below.

Important: You should avoid any excessive exposures of the new drum units to direct light, because the light reduces the performance and the lifespan of the photoconductive drums. Please avoid touching the sensitive surfaces of the photoconductive drums. Please avoid touching the internal components of your laser printer, which are marked with a ‘’hot surface’’ sign.

In the first step of the replacement procedure, you must turn off your Ricoh Aficio SP-C410DN Laser Printer, and then unplug its power cable. After that, you must open the left cover, and then unlock the inner cover by turning the locking levers counterclockwise to the marked ‘’unlocked’’ position. Please note that the installed drum units are arranged in the following order, from the front side of the machine: Black, Magenta, Cyan, and Yellow. Now, you must open the inner cover, and then unlock the exhausted drum unit by turning its green lever counterclockwise until it stops. In the next step of the installation, you must pull the ring handle of the exhausted component towards you, and then completely remove the exhausted drum unit from the laser printer. At this stage, you must unpack the new drum unit, and then remove the protective cover from the new component. Once the new drum unit is prepared, you must slide it along the guides of the corresponding slot until it stops, and then push the label with three green lines (on the front side of the new drum unit) towards the main unit, in order to lock the new component into place. After that, you must remove the protective tape from the installed new drum unit, and then turn the green lever of the slot in a clockwise direction until it stops. Now, you must close the inner cover, and then turn its lock levers to the marked ‘’locked’’ position. Finally, you must close the front cover, and then turn on your Ricoh Aficio SP-C410DN Laser Printer. Please do not turn off the power or open the covers of your laser printer during the automatic drum calibration procedure.
