10 Products for the Toshiba e-Studio 167 Laser Printer
Toshiba e-Studio 167 Review
The amazing Toshiba image technology has come up with another multifunction device that’s regarded to be a significant boost in an efficient document processing while being significantly environmentally friendly. When you’re ready to strike a balance between copy, print, fax and scan features in a single compact design, Toshiba e-Studio 167 is then your ultimate choice. It appears like a large rectangular box with a cream color covering it with a few panels in gray color and coupled with some simple yet smart lines which just heightens its distinctiveness. At the front most portion of the top panel are highlights embedded in a gray panel. These include an LCD display and an array of control buttons including the three larger ones in yellow, orange and green color used for some basic functions such as for initiating and terminating print, copy and scan actions.
Functionality is essential but ease of use is much more essential to benefit from this functionality and so Toshiba incorporated TopAccess, an innovative management application that monitors the statuses of e-Studio 167 at all times and provides instant alerts to network computers and Toshiba Viewer that enables both standard GDI printing and TWAIN compatible scanning.
Toshiba e-Studio 167 was actually released together with another two e-Studio device by Toshiba which houses same design and functionality as e-Studio 167 but with improved output speed and so benefiting from the same features described, the other two Toshiba multifunction device model namely the e-Studio 207 and e-Studio 237 is better when faster machine is needed. It is as well bulky with its dimensions of 23.62”W x 25.31”D x 18.21”H and mobility is a bit of a hassle at a weight of 70.1 lbs. Operating system compatibility is also a problem as by default, it is incompatible to newer operating system compatibility is also a hassle as by default, it is incompatible to newer operating systems namely Windows Vista and 7 since its compatibility are on operating systems prior to its release or in the case of Windows OS, its compatibility is only until Windows XP and so driver/s (if available, which may be found directly in the official manufacturer’s site) is/are needed to be downloaded and installed to be compatible with these newer operating systems. |
